What You'll Do
SimpliSafe is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Operations Engineering team. In this role, you'll design, implement, and maintain the systems and APIs that power our:
- Customer Experience Platform
- Privacy Compliance tooling
- Cross-organization technical initiatives, partnering with other engineering teams to drive improvements beyond your immediate team's scope
What You'll Bring
- 5+ years of professional software development experience, ideally full-stack
- Proven ability to design and ship production web applications and/or services independently
- Strong experience building Node.js microservices
- Hands-on experience with AWS
- Experience with Angular, React, or a comparable modern frontend framework
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar
- Solid working knowledge of both SQL and NoSQL databases
- Curiosity and a genuine interest in learning new technologies
- Comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively on a team
- A mindset that values building new things as much as maintaining what already exists

The target annual base pay range for this role is $117,000 to $156,000.
This target annual base pay range represents our good-faith estimate of what we expect to pay for this role. We use a market-based compensation approach to set our target annual base pay ranges and make adjustments annually. We carefully tailor individual compensation packages, including base pay, taking into consideration employees’ job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and other relevant business factors.
Beyond base pay, we offer a Total Rewards package that may include participation in our annual bonus program, equity, and other forms of compensation, in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and lifestyle benefits. More details can be found here.
