About the job
This is a software engineering position on the team designing and building the new API platform that drives our products. The project you’ll be working on is critical to our product delivery and used extensively by both internal teams and external customers, so this is a great opportunity to grow technically and have a huge impact.
You will:
- Shape the API definition and platform architecture
- Design and deliver high-quality, well-tested, scalable backend system
- Own features and lead the team
- Automate as much as possible - as the API team, we’re big believers in well-defined interfaces and building pipelines that ensure our code does what it’s supposed to today and continues to do so in the future
Software Engineers at ViFiVE are researchers and developers who build AI-platform-as-a-service to revolutionize the Digital Health industry. Our engineers develop full-stack software from Machine Learning to Cloud Services – this requires state-of-the-art research skills and market awareness, the soft skills to effectively interact and ask questions, and the ability to quickly turn ideas into products. We focus on being a collaborative and open organization consisting of engineers with the highest technical depth, programming skills, and a keen eye for user experience. We expect you to be highly autonomous and independent and lead designs of major software components, systems, and features. We also expect you to work with high-level product requirements and manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in CS or related field
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in software development
- Experience in at least one general purpose programming language (e.g., Java, Python, Go, C/C++, JavaScript)
- Solid data structures, algorithms and software design
Preferred qualifications
- Master’s degree in CS or related field
- Hands on technical leadership experience leading project teams and setting technical direction
- Experience architecting and developing solutions to ambiguous problems with significant impact
- Demonstrated expertise working with one or more of the following: Mobile/Frontend Application, Android App Development, Distributed and Parallel System, Embedded System, Test Automation, Devop
- Experience shipping product in a dynamic and agile early stage startup environment
