As a Sr Software Eng Manager here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will lead and manage software engineering teams focused on developing cutting-edge aerospace software solutions. ResponsibilitiesKEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Lead and manage software engineering teams to deliver aerospace software solutions on time and within budget.
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Develop and implement software development plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to quality standards and aerospace compliance requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance software engineering processes and team performance.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in software engineering management, preferably in aerospace or related industries.
- Strong expertise in software development lifecycle, agile methodologies, and project management.
- Proficiency with programming languages such as C++, Java, or Python, and experience with embedded systems software development.
- Experience with aerospace software standards such as DO-178C and knowledge of safety-critical software development practices.
- Advanced degrees in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields.
- Experience leading large, distributed software engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for innovation and continuous learning.
- Knowledge of model-based design and verification tools.
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and DevOps practices.
