At Lucid, matching our Best in the category vehicles, we are working on next generation dynamic 3D UX to bring forward our innovation in Automated Driving. You will be part of the core team bringing out that experience to our world class electric vehicles.
We are seeking an enthusiastic candidate with good experience in 3D development as a Sr. Software Engineer to join our Infotainment team. This position requires an experienced professional with a solid background in C++ 3D graphics development. Our ideal candidate exhibits technical leadership, can-do attitude in his/her work & brings in vigor and determination in the execution. Candidate will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields; possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• Work with the with external teams to define, scope, and refine the user-facing interactions/features & for the requirements
• Design, implement, and deliver the in-vehicle software utilizing the underlying platform, frameworks, and SDKs.
• Work with platform/system engineers to analyze and optimize the system to achieve a highly responsive 3D user experience.
• Diagnose, analyze, and resolve relevant issues based on testing, and user validation.
• Guide junior members in the team for Unreal Engine 3D development
Qualifications:
Must Have:
• BS minimum in the areas of Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other related STEM degrees.
• 5 years of UX software development experience, with 4+ years of hands on C++ software development
• 2 years of 3D software development experience using OpenGL/Vulcan/Unreal Engine or related 3D framework
• Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly and effectively, working with teams
Nice to have:
• Unreal Engine C++ plugin development experience is a major plus along with good understanding of Blueprint scripting
• Experience working with QtQML, preferably on QNX platform will be a preferred
• Experience in Shader (GLSL) programming, software profiling & performance optimization will be a huge plus
• Familiarity with DDS communication or related experience is a plus
• Previous experience in working with automative industry is preferred
Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs. (Cash or equity incentive awards, if any, will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and company performance.)
Base Pay Range (Annual)
$145,600—$200,200 USD
