ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of software engineers to ensure the successful execution of software engineering projects
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to develop and execute project plans
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to the team in solving complex software engineering problems
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance software engineering processes and efficiencyPrimary responsibilities are
- Will lead with people reporting of technical Lead designers, developers comprising on both Software application development development. He/She will perform performance appraisal for each team member and will have one to one connect sessions with each member once a month.
- Drive development using strong engineering principles adhering to standards & Product / Program requirements, Honeywell Process.
- Leading cross functional and multi locational software development agile teams to achieve business outcome within given constraints .
- Deploying SDLC best practices to achieve engineering goals with measurable outcomes, ability to identify & remove waste
- Will drive technical resource review for the team.
- Will ensure Honeywell operating system practices will be strongly cultivated in the team.
- Drive Innovation culture, Accountability and responsibility.
- Deploying visual & metrics-based management practices in agile teams for effective scope, quality & schedule management in collaboration with business & functional stakeholders.
- Ability to consistently make timely decisions even in the face of complexity, balancing systematic analysis with decisiveness
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
Should be Computer Science / Information Science Engineering Graduate with experience of at least 10 years with proven track record product development of Industrial and automation products.
Required Skills:
- Working Experience in Software Development for at least 8-10+ years
- Excellent Interpersonal and communication skills with ability to collaborate and work dynamically with geographically dispersed stakeholders
- Strong Debugging and troubleshooting skills
- Possess knowledge of Agile Software Development methodologies
- Experience/Knowledge on Experion PKS DCS / PLC / Any competitor DCS / PLC /Industrial Automation systems are added advantage
- Shall be familiar with the full Life Cycle of Software Product Development and have hands own experience in tests execution and automation – Unit tests in at least 4 projects.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills is a must
Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Science Engineering
- At least 10 years of experience with product development for industrial and automation products
- 8-10 or more years of software development experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with geographically dispersed stakeholders
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies
- Experience or knowledge of Experion PKS DCS, PLC, competitor DCS, or industrial automation systems
- Familiarity with the full software product development lifecycle
- Hands-on experience executing tests and automating unit tests in at least four projects
