The Role
- Design, implement, and administer enterprise SAN and NAS environments.
- Manage storage provisioning, allocation, deallocation, and lifecycle management.
- Perform firmware upgrades, technology refreshes, and storage migrations.
- Configure and administer storage replication technologies.
- Conduct storage performance analysis, tuning, and capacity planning.
- Support large-scale storage environments and business-critical workloads.
- Administer Cisco SAN fabric including zoning, switch configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Drive storage standardization and operational best practices.
- Design and manage enterprise backup solutions using NetWorker and NetBackup.
- Administer backup infrastructure including Data Domain appliances.
- Define backup policies, retention schedules, and recovery strategies.
- Perform backup failure analysis and restore testing.
- Manage DPA reporting, compliance dashboards, and operational metrics.
- Ensure successful completion of backup, replication, archive, and recovery activities.
- Conduct disaster recovery testing and recovery validation exercises.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for backup reliability and performance.
- Act as L3/L4 escalation point for critical incidents (P1/P2).
- Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive actions.
- Lead technical resolution during major incidents and service outages.
- Provide recommendations for service stability and risk reduction.
- Partner with vendors and OEM support teams for complex issue resolution.
- Lead storage and backup modernization initiatives.
- Drive migrations across platforms and data centers.
- Support cloud integration and hybrid infrastructure strategies.

Who You Are
- 10 to 15+ years of overall IT Infrastructure experience.
- Minimum 7+ years in Enterprise Storage Administration.
- Minimum 5+ years in Enterprise Backup Administration.
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise environments (multi-PB storage and thousands of backup clients preferred).
- Strong troubleshooting experience across Storage, SAN, and Backup platforms.
