Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a high‑impact commercial leader to accelerate our expansion into the rapidly growing Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS) market while sustaining and growing our Urban Air Mobility (UAM) portfolio. This role will define and execute Honeywell’s global UAS commercial strategy, build and scale a world‑class sales organization, and position Honeywell as the preferred provider of autonomy, avionics, navigation, and integrated mission systems across commercial and dual‑use platforms.
This leader will report to the General Manager for the UAS/UAM business and will be instrumental in shaping Honeywell Aerospace’s next stage of growth in an emerging and highly fragmented global market.
Key Responsibilities
1. Set and Lead the Global UAS & UAM Commercial Strategy
- Own all commercial sales activities globally across UAS and UAM segments.
- Drive a UAS‑first commercial strategy, defining priorities, target markets, and long‑term growth plans.
- Develop and execute scalable market penetration strategies across commercial, dual‑use, and defense segments.
2. Build, Scale, and Lead a High‑Performing Sales Organization
- Lead an existing team of sales and account professionals; grow the team to meet UAS market demand.
- Develop a comprehensive UAS sales playbook including segmentation, pipeline processes, funnel management, and account structure.
- Coach and mentor team members to build long‑term organizational capability.
3. Develop Market Coverage and Channel Models
- Create a tiered customer coverage model tailored to OEMs, mid‑tier manufacturers, and long‑tail platforms.
- Identify and deploy channel partners or distribution models where they strengthen coverage and speed to market.
- Implement scalable, repeatable sales processes for high‑volume engagement.
4. Lead Business Development and Customer Engagement
- Own the full opportunity lifecycle from prospecting to negotiation, contracting, and ongoing account leadership.
- Build strong executive‑level relationships with UAS OEMs, operators, integrators, and defense customers.
- Ensure customer needs and Honeywell’s technology roadmap remain tightly aligned.
5. Grow the UAM Customer Portfolio
- Maintain and expand relationships with existing UAM customers, ensuring continuity and exceptional program support.
- Identify emerging UAM OEMs and proactively drive new partnership and sales opportunities.
- Support UAM growth while ensuring alignment with the broader UAS‑first strategy.
6. Provide Cross‑Functional Leadership and Influence
- Partner with product management, engineering, marketing, and program teams to develop offers and solutions aligned with customer needs.
- Deliver structured Voice of Customer (VoC) insights to inform autonomy, avionics, navigation, and payload integration roadmaps.
- Influence across Honeywell organizations to secure resources and drive strategic alignment.
7. Drive Operational and Commercial Excellence
- Deliver accurate forecasting, pipeline visibility, and strategic insights for senior leadership.
- Track market trends, competitive dynamics, pricing movements, and ecosystem changes.
- Lead disciplined sales processes to ensure strong financial performance.
8. Represent Honeywell as an Industry Thought Leader
- Partner with marketing on customer‑facing messaging, pursuit materials, and campaigns.
