Nebraska Medicine is seeking a Senior Residency Coordination Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of our Graduate Medical Education residency program. In this collaborative role, you'll partner with program leadership to coordinate educational activities, recruitment, special events, and program administration while helping create an organized, engaging, and supportive learning environment for residents, faculty, and staff.
This position serves as a key administrative partner, coordinating residency events, managing program communications, supporting accreditation and compliance activities, and assisting with resident onboarding, wellness initiatives, and educational conferences. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where collaboration, exceptional customer service, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential.
Priority consideration will be given to candidates with Graduate Medical Education (GME) experience, particularly those with knowledge of residency program administration, accreditation processes, or ACGME requirements.

Duties: Sr Residency Coordination Assistant
Coordinate residency recruiting and interview process of medical students. Perform all administrative, organizational, and clerical support, as well as, general office duties of highly responsible and confidential nature to meet the needs of the staff.
Required Qualifications: Sr Residency Coordination Assistant
• Minimum of three years' experience using computer and word processing, database and spreadsheet knowledge (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) required.
• High school education or equivalent required.
• Associate's degree OR equivalent combination of education/experience combined (one year of education equals one year of experience) required.
• Ability to problem solve required.
• Demonstrate exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal including correct use of grammar, spelling punctuation, knowledge of business, correspondence formats and a clear distinct speaking voice required.
• Transcription knowledge and demonstrating accurate spelling and grammar required.
• Ability to handle various workloads and a large number of tasks simultaneously and prioritize projects and activities required.
• Professional and courteous decorum required.
• Ability to work effectively with others required.
• Database and spreadsheet programs (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) required.
Preferred Qualifications: Sr Residency Coordination Assistant
• Experience with the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) preferred.
• Business experience in an office management position in a health care setting preferred.
• Ability to accurately transcribe letters to patients and physicians preferred.
• Self-directed and able to carry out job responsibilities with little or limited direction preferred.
• Knowledge of Microcomputer/PC Laser printer preferred.
• Knowledge of fax machine, copying machine, calculator, telephones/ Audix, general office supplies/equipment transcription machine/TAPS, electronic residency application service (ERAS) preferred.
• Database and spreadsheet programs (e.g., Access, Wordperfect, etc.) preferred.
