The Sr. Engineer (R&D) for Cytiva is responsible for support equipment, new products, materials, and process development.

This position is part of the R&D located in Pensacola, Florida and will be fully on-site. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Perform operation management of R&D equipment and pilot facility.
• Designs experiments to support new products, materials, and/or processes development.
• Learn and apply DBS tools to solve problems, improve process capability, reduce variation, and eliminate waste.
• Plans, Plans, organizes, and supervises the work of technicians supporting assigned tasks/projects
• Coaches junior staff to promote technical and professional growth

The essential requirements of the job include:

• B.S/M.S/Ph.D in chemical engineering, materials science and engineering, polymer science/engineering , or other related discipline or a combination of experience and education equivalent to 5 ~ 7 years beyond a B.S degree
• Project management skills, demonstrated ability to lead, plan, organize, execute, and communicate technical and/or development projects
• Hypothesizes, evaluates, recommends, and implements solutions to technical problems.
• Comes up with novel solutions with potential to generate intellectual property.
• To work safely and to comply with the company’s health, safety and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Experience on machine preventive maintenance
• Familiarity, experience with bioprocessing a plus
