We are looking for a highly skilled Senior QA Engineer with strong fundamentals in software testing and hands-on experience in desktop-based applications, specifically within the CAD domain. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring product quality through rigorous testing, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and proactive problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test strategies for desktop applications
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing
- Validate complex workflows related to CAD/BIM models and geometry data
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure quality delivery
- Actively operate within a Scrum team, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
- Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools
- Participate in release validation, UAT support, and go-live testing
- Analyse system performance and scalability for medium to large datasets
- Contribute to test automation initiatives (good to have)
- Ensure adherence to QA processes, standards, and best practices
Requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in software testing / QA (BE/BTech in Mechanical or Civil)
- Strong understanding of software testing fundamentals (SDLC, STLC, test design techniques, Black Box Testing, White Box Testing)
- Hands-on experience in testing desktop applications
- Nice to have experience in CAD domain (e.g., Navisworks, Revit, Tekla, AutoCAD, etc.)
- Nice to have understanding of geometry, 3D models, and data exchange workflows
- Experience in defect tracking and test management tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
