JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB PURPOSE & KEY METRICS
Purpose:
Coordinate and manage infrastructure & cloud related projects involving deployment of all technologies around the globe.
Key Results:
- Timely delivery of project technologies to LS&Co. customers.
- Budget remains within +/- 2% of forecasted amount.
- Reporting of project status to provide higher levels of visibility to Sr. Management
- Manage SCRUM and Waterfall based projects.
Additional Information and Key Metrics:
- Deliver timely Infrastructure implementations to over 50 Countries and 100 locations
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the department leadership team to manage the portfolio of Waterfall/Agile projects and programs
- Assist the department leadership to manage and track projects and budgets
- Track, manage and publish Project status / budget on Monthly basis
- Manage project vendors and contracts, partnering with leadership
- Assist in the acquisitions process from contract signature, PO creation to equipment / software arrival.
- Develop and coordinate the development of checkpoint documentation as required by the LS&Co. project Governance and Methodology process.
- Present and coordinate the presentation of project checkpoints for stakeholder and leadership approvals.
- Utilize the LS&Co project management tools (Clarity, SAP, SharePoint, MS Project, etc.) to manage program and budget (plan and actuals) in line with LS&Co standards.
- Provide work direction and leadership to assigned project teams, consisting of scheduling, assignment of work and review of project efforts.
- Recommend staffing requirements to assist with the formation of project teams (i.e. onboarding team members and providing information on project)
- Develop and coordinate the creation of detailed project plans and schedules using established LS&CO.’s standard.
- Gather and coordinate metrics, and develop and implement changes (per standard approval processes) so that the project can remain within scope, and within time, cost and quality objectives.
- Provide instructions to project resources on project management methods, tools or processes
- Help to drive timely decisions by key stakeholders in the context of the assigned projects relative to scope, schedule, costs/benefits
- Coordinate the gathering of multiple sources of project related data and input (technical, business functional, financial), then summarize and provide conclusions for LS&Co leadership to utilize for project based decisions and actions.
- Develop and maintain a working relationship with project sponsors (business and IT), vendors and key clients
- Interface and coordinate the interfacing with business leadership to understand and clarify business needs and strategies relative to assigned projects
- Coordinate and work with project team to communicate project progress, performance and results LS&Co leadership
- Collaborate with LS&Co. and 3rd Party project team to plan and drive execution (on-time, budget, scope)
- Collaborate with project team to identify potential project risks and assist with the development of preventive plans
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education Required:
Bachelor's degree or related discipline/experience preferred
Years and Type of Experience Required:
Minimum 5+ years of IT experience and deployment of IT technology-based solutions
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- Project management certification
- Well-versed in technical concepts related to Cloud, Server, Storage technologies
- Proficiency in budget and process management, project management and business intelligence.
- Experience supporting Collaboration projects
- Familiarity with the balanced scorecard concept, IT standards such as ITIL and COBIT.
- Experience leading systems implementations to a successful conclusion.
- Clear understanding of project and business process management methodologies and tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills.
- Ability to serve as a change agent and influence business direction.
- Ability to work effectively in a global and matrixed environment.
Complexity and Accountability:
- Engage discipline leads to resolve budget issues
- Drive technical staff to meet assigned deadlines
- Communicate overall project status to Infrastructure Director
