Visual Identity and Brand System
Our Company
At General Motors, we combine the passion of a startup with the influence of a global powerhouse. We pride ourselves on designing, building, and selling the world's best vehicles and transportation solutions. Our vision of a future with zero crashes, zero emissions, and zero congestion is bold, and our people are leading the way as we seek to transform the future of personal mobility. To achieve this vision, we need people to join us who are passionate about crafting safer, better, and more sustainable ways for people to get around.
About the Role
We're seeking a highly skilled Production Specialist with 5-8 years of experience supporting complex brand and creative ecosystems. In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring the precise, efficient, and consistent execution of GM's brand and design assets across print, digital, and emerging platforms.
You bring a detail-driven mindset and a deep respect for craft, process, and systems. You understand that exceptional design only succeeds when production is executed flawlessly-on time, on spec, and at scale. From file preparation and asset management to vendor coordination and quality control, you'll play a critical role in translating creative intent into finished work that meets the highest standards.
Grounded in organization, technical expertise, and clear communication, you thrive in environments where accuracy, consistency, and collaboration are essential. You'll partner closely with designers, brand teams, and external vendors to ensure GM's visual identity is delivered with precision, reliability, and care across every touchpoint.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end production of brand assets across print, digital, and experiential formats.
  • Prepare, review, and finalize production-ready files, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand standards.
  • Oversee quality control throughout the production process, maintaining high standards from concept through final delivery.
  • Collaborate with designers to translate creative concepts into scalable, production-ready solutions.
  • Coordinate with external vendors, printers, fabricators, and production partners to ensure timelines, specifications, and budgets are met.
  • Maintain and organize digital asset libraries, templates, and production documentation.
  • Ensure production workflows align with established brand systems and operational best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and reduce production risk.
  • Support the adaptation of brand assets across multiple formats, regions, and platforms while preserving visual integrity.

Qualifications
  • 5-8 years of professional experience in creative or brand production, preferably within a large-scale or complex organization.
  • Strong understanding of print and digital production processes, specifications, and workflows.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop); familiarity with file standards and prepress requirements.
  • Experience working with external vendors and managing production schedules and deliverables.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, solution-oriented mindset.
Familiarity with digital asset management systems is a plus.

What We Value
  • A commitment to precision, consistency, and craftsmanship in every deliverable.
  • A process-oriented mindset that values structure, documentation, and repeatable systems.
  • The ability to anticipate production challenges and solve problems proactively.
  • Respect for design intent and a dedication to protecting brand integrity at every stage of execution.
  • Curiosity and continuous learning about materials, tools, technologies, and best practices in creative production.
