The Role

Narvar is growing! As a Senior Product Technical Writer at Navar, you'll work closely with product teams, engineers, and customer success to create and maintain comprehensive technical content. Your work will empower both technical and non-technical audiences—helping clients understand, integrate, and leverage our platform at scale. You’ll be responsible for documentation related to new features, integrations, troubleshooting, and more, ensuring clarity and precision across our product suite.

Day-to-day

  • Create Clear Documentation: Write user manuals, API guides, integration docs, release notes, and troubleshooting content that translates complex technical concepts into simple, user-friendly language.
  • Collaborate Cross-functionally: Partner with product managers, engineers, and designers to ensure content is accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with product updates.
  • Simplify Complex Concepts: Take high-level technical information and break it down for both technical and non-technical audiences, ensuring accessibility and usability.
  • Develop Content Strategy: Establish and maintain documentation standards to ensure consistency across all materials and scalability as the product evolves.
  • Manage Content Lifecycle: Oversee the creation, revision, and archiving of content, updating documentation in line with product changes and customer feedback.
  • Drive Quality and Consistency: Ensure that documentation meets the highest standards for quality and accuracy, working within development timelines.

What we’re looking for

  • Experience: 8-10 years of experience as a technical writer, with a portfolio showcasing work in high-tech SaaS products, particularly in the retail or e-commerce space.
  • Industry Expertise: Deep knowledge of SaaS platforms, specifically in the context of retail technology.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of APIs, cloud computing, and backend architecture. Proficiency with documentation tools such as Markdown, Git, and others is a plus.
  • Communication: Exceptional writing skills, with an ability to tailor content for different audiences, from developers to business stakeholders.
  • Collaboration: Proven experience working in agile environments and collaborating across teams to deliver high-quality documentation.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment with the ability to manage multiple projects without compromising quality.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Retail / E-Commerce Experience: Familiarity with SaaS products in the retail sector, especially those supporting large-scale platforms.
  • API Documentation: Experience with tools like Swagger, Postman, or similar platforms is beneficial.
  • Cloud Knowledge: Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
  • Tools: Familiarity with documentation software such as Confluence, MadCap Flare, or similar tools.
