As a Sr Product Manager for IMC Portable Gas Detection at Honeywell, you will lead the development and execution of software and connected strategies for portable gas detection products. You will drive innovation and integration of connected technologies to enhance software and product capabilities and customer value in the industrial safety market.
You will report directly to our Product Growth Team Leader and will work from our Lincolnshire, IL or Houston, TX location on a Hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will impact the strategic direction and growth of Honeywell's portable gas detection offerings by leveraging software and connected technologies to improve safety, operational efficiency, and data-driven decision-making for customers worldwide.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute integrated software and product strategies for portable gas detection solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and customer requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, marketing, sales, and customer support to drive product innovation and market adoption.
- Lead market research and customer discovery efforts to identify unmet needs and emerging trends in software and connected safety technologies.
- Conduct VOC to identify customer value-added features and develop a portable connected solution that delivers on safety outcomes.
- Define product requirements and roadmaps that integrate software, connectivity features, and data analytics capabilities.
- Manage product lifecycle from concept through launch and post-launch optimization, ensuring successful delivery and adoption.
- Develop a thorough go-to-market strategy based on customer segments in a channel heavy business.
- Develop a comprehensive recurring revenue model and strategy for the IMC Portables product line focusing on software and connected services.

The salary range for this position in Illinois is $187,000 - $234,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

- 8+ years in product management, including 2+ years leading connected or IoT-enabled industrial safety products from concept to launch.
- 2+ years defining software requirements and translating customer needs into product requirements across multiple releases.
- 2+ years defining connected product strategies that integrate hardware, software, and data, including ownership of at least one end-to-end roadmap.
- 2+ years with product lifecycle management tools and stage-gate or similar development processes across multiple product phases and launches.
- 2+ years leading cross-functional teams across R&D, engineering, marketing, and sales to deliver connected solutions.
- 2+ years with cloud applications, including requirements for connected platforms, services, or dashboards.
- 2+ years with software subscription models, including pricing, packaging, renewal, and recurring revenue.
- 2+ years working in Agile environments, including sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and delivery across multiple cycles.
