We are seeking a Sr. Software Product Manager to lead our software-enabled hardware journey. Our devices have long earned customers' trust; we are building the software layer that extends that value across the workflow. 

In this role, you will lead the way in defining and delivering software products our customers love.  You will act as a bridge between our established hardware product organization and the software capabilities we are building around it. You will help define where software workflow solutions belong on the overall product roadmap, balance investment between bold feature innovations and the steady improvement of the core platform. You will establish software product management best practices needed to succeed— from product definition to sales enablement to customer implementations. This role is based in the U.S. and works closely with product, engineering, sales, and customer success teams around the world.

Key Responsibilities Software Roadmap Strategy & Integration

  • Partner with hardware product management, engineering, and executive leadership to integrate software workflow solutions into the company-wide product roadmap.
  • Assess where software creates the most customer and business value and translate that into a prioritized software roadmap.
  • Define and defend prioritization tradeoffs between strategic feature innovations and ongoing core platform improvements.
  • Build the business case for software investment, including ROI, adoption, and consideration of business models influenced by hardware.
  • Work with Product Planning team to explore bold innovative solutions and markets.
  • Work closely with hardware Product Managers where software creates value alongside devices in customer workflows.

Product Definition & Best Practices

  • Establish repeatable best practices for defining successful software workflow products and success metrics suited to hardware-adjacent software.
  • Create and maintain process and templates for defining and delivering value in each release.
  • Work very closely with Product Owners align on customer value, definition, scoping, and prioritization of feature backlog.
  • Champion a consistent software product release cycle that complements existing hardware NPI release plans.
  • Lead prioritization cadence to communicate software roadmap priorities, needs, and tradeoffs to leadership.

Go-to-Market & Sales Enablement

  • Partner with sales and commercial teams to define and refine ideal customer profiles and the sales process for hardware/software combined solutions.
  • Develop sales enablement materials, pricing frameworks, and tiered offerings that reflect customer needs.
  • Coach and enable the sales organization to position and sell workflow software alongside hardware.

Customer Implementation & Success

  • Work closely with and coach customer success and sales engineering teams on pre-sale nurturing and post-sale implementations, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Identify and resolve common points of friction in onboarding, adoption, and change management.
  • Gather customer feedback and usage data to continuously improve product definition and implementation practices.

Qualifications Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field
  • 7+ years of software product management experience, including direct experience managing workflow software products. 
  • Demonstrated experience leading software products through transformational growth cycles.
  • Strong understanding of B2B sales processes, particularly for combined hardware/software solutions
  • Experience building or scaling software product management best practices. 
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills, with experience working across global teams and time zones.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%, domestically and internationally.

Preferred

  • MBA or equivalent strategic experience
  • Experience in a medical device, industrial, or other hardware-first industry undergoing digital product transformation.
  • Familiarity with IoT, connected devices, or embedded systems.
