The Role

Position Overview:

Eaton's Power Reliability Division is currently seeking a Sr. Product Line Manager for the Smart Grid business portfolio. Reporting to the SVP/General Manager - Power Reliability Division (PRD), you will be responsible for all aspects of the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Smart Grid business. You will have the opportunity to own a $ 90M P/L with oversight of a 50+ person team across product marketing, engineering, and manufacturing/supply chain operations. In this highly visible role, you will focus on driving market share and business growth within a critical portfolio of solutions across the Eaton enterprise.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develop short and long-term plans including headcount, new product development, technology road mapping and operational/plant investments in alignment with the strategic plan ensuring achievement of our profitability objectives.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to staff in the development and deployment of business plans and operations.
  • Drive change through improved organizational capability, goal alignment, employee development, performance management and communication ensuring motivation and retention of a high-performance team.
  • Lead all marketing, engineering, and manufacturing functions across the Smart Grid product families (AMI/RF, Demand Response (DR), Yukon, Brightlayer Utility Cloud, Analytics).
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive global product strategy while managing vertical segment prioritization, expanding the customer base with new business models, and improving the supply chain profile.
  • Participate in potential M&A activity and organic expansion to facilitate business growth.
  • Act as thought leader for the utility industry in grid modernization and stay abreast of industry developments and technological advancements to guide innovation.
  • Build strong relationships and engage with key stakeholders and industry influencers across the globe to deliver products that satisfy customers.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in engineering, marketing, or operations in a similar size/scope role for a multinational industry leader
  • Record of accomplishment in building and leading high-performing teams.
  • Understanding and experience within the Utility segment
  • Experience with controls development processes, communication protocols, cybersecurity requirements, software and solutions, and agile program management.
  • Strong executive level communication capabilities
  • Proven ability to execute on business strategies to achieve measurable outcomes.
  • Ability to thrive in a global, matrixed organization working with virtual teams across different locations and cross-cultural environments.
  • Curious learner with an entrepreneurial spirit that has relentless drive to experiment and explore innovative possibilities.
  • Versatile, agile risk taker who serves as a catalyst for change, challenges the status quo, and is comfortable with ambiguity.
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $153749.97 - $225499.96 a year.
