TITLE:                      Sr. Principal Portfolio Investments

Duties:                    Perform and review all monthly and quarterly valuations and reporting on the MSR Asset/Liabilities. Produce periodic valuation reports and presentations on all relevant MSR valuation information for senior management. Work with Portfolio Investments team on acquisitions and dispositions: pricing of co-issue, bulk and mini-bulk deals. Conduct attribution analysis and stress testing of the managed portfolio. Support the day-to-day risk analytics, risk reporting and performance monitoring of the MSR portfolio. Develop and maintain pricing models and analytical tools to support the growth of the investment portfolio. Manage large data tapes from various sources and check for data inconsistencies. Create, enhance and maintain control reports for auditors and regulators. Provide MSR valuation support to other functional areas when needed. Prepare and review all quarterly financial reporting schedules and disclosures. Communicate with auditors and respond to all requests in a timely and accurate manner to facilitate audit processes and testing. Remote work permitted.

SCHEDULE:             40 hours per week, Monday through Friday

LOCATION:             Nationstar Mortgage, LLC d/b/a Mr. Cooper, 8950 Cypress Waters Blvd, Coppell, TX 75019

REQUIREMENTS:   Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Economics or related field of study and five (5) years of experience as a Senior Principal, Financial Analyst, Assistant Vice President, or related role where required experience gained.

Alternate Experience: In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree in stated fields and five (5) years of stated experience, the employer will accept no degree and seven (7) years of experience as a Senior Principal, Financial Analyst, Assistant Vice President, or related role where required experience gained.

Special Skills:              Also requires experience in the following:

  • 5 years of experience in mortgage or fixed income related Capital Markets, Finance, etc.
  • 5 years of Prepayment modeling or credit analytics.
  • 5 years of Mortgage securities, whole loans, derivatives, or other fixed income products
  • 5 years of Experience with MIAC, Compass or QRM.
  • 5 years of MSR Valuation.
  • 5 years of Expert proficiency with Excel.
  • 5 years of MS SQL experience.
  • 3 years of OAS valuation and relative value analysis.
