The Strategy Innovation and Planning (SIP) team is the central AI hub for the firm, leading the development of cutting-edge AI platforms and solutions that will shape the future of the entire organization. Role Summary:
- Technical lead for our Generative AI platform, driving the architecture, design, and development of our firm's central GenAI solution.
- Hands-on coding and delivery of cloud-native microservices/micro UI architecture patterns.
- Lead agile engineering team, provide mentoring, teach and train less experienced engineers.
- Collaborate with product owners to size, scope, and plan complex technical tasks.
- Collaborate with the larger technology organization to advance standardization & best practices i.e. DevSecOps, agile adoption
- Work across various technical teams to resolve technical impediments (security, compliance, architecture, etc.).
- Conduct peer code reviews to ensure quality, standards, and functionality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Part of a team of full stack developers that is engaged in hands-on coding, peer reviews testing etc.
- Maintain and promote architecture blueprints and development patterns.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Risk, and Security to improve the software stack.
- Measure and report on team performance metrics.
- Provide technical guidance to develop engineering talent within the team.
Technical Expertise:
- Microservices & Micro Front-End Architecture
- ReactJS: Expertise in Micro UI/Front-End frameworks like Viral.
- NodeJS/NestJS: Mastery of asynchronous event loop-based development.
- Python:
- FastAPI and other REST-based frameworks.
- Jupyter/Streamlit for ML operations and rapid prototyping.
- Celery for asynchronous, batch processing.
- Event-Based Architecture: Proficiency with NatsIO, Redis, or Kafka.
- Database Skills: Expertise in NoSQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL).
- Data Warehousing: Experience with Snowflake or similar technologies.
- Hands-on experience and deep technical knowledge in cloud-native development patterns, specifically Kubernetes, Helm chart deployment, Serverless (Lambda), library and package management, JWT-based security, and experience with AWS & Azure cloud platforms.
Leadership Qualities:
- 7-10+ years in complex cloud systems architecture and multi-language programming.
- Deep understanding of financial markets and products.
- Proven track record in agile development and team leadership.
- Strong communication and multitasking abilities.
- Passion for solving complex problems and fostering a collaborative team culture.
