Job Summary:
The Asset Suite DBA will be responsible for the maintenance, performance, and security of the Oracle database environments used by the Asset Suite 9.6 system. This role requires ensuring database availability, implementing backup and recovery strategies, and optimizing database performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain Oracle databases used by Asset Suite 9.6, OpenText and other Enterprise applications.
- Implement and monitor RMAN backups and restore processes.
- Familiarity with Veritas Netbackup to manage (RMAN) Oracle Backups.
- Configure and manage Oracle RAC for high availability.
- Perform routine database maintenance, including index tuning, query optimization, and performance monitoring.
- Work closely with the Asset Suite System Administrator to ensure database integrity and security.
- Conduct regular audits and compliance checks according to regulatory requirements - Oracle Database security management and analysis.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA, with experience in high availability environments.
- Proficiency in Oracle RMAN, Veritas Netbackup, Oracle RAC and Oracle Data Guard.
- Extensive experience with VMware and Red Hat Linux environments.
- Python, Powershell or Bash scripting and Automation tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, Oracle Performance tuning.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
