As a Senior Operations Manager, you will be fully responsible for the New York Water Tours experiences in hospitality, operations and for its operational efficiency. You will play a pivotal role in supporting organizational growth, managing cross-functional teams, and ensuring seamless execution of business operations. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with exceptional attention to detail and a proven track record of optimizing operational efficiency and excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise all aspects of the product execution (both front and back of house); ensure flawless product execution and deliver a world class experience consistently throughout all products. 
  • Lead products for multiple vessels to ensure timely and successful events and experiences
  • Manages and provides day-to-day leadership to personnel 
  • Engages in the coordination and execution of a recruitment strategy and schedule that meets the ongoing needs and demands of the business
  • Be responsible for hiring, training, scheduling, managing, and performance monitoring of all operations staff
  • Conduct audits on all products to assess the talent and coach as needed
  • Continually analyzes processes and systems and develops strategies for improving future results
  • Communicate with marine teams to anticipate any necessary replacement needs for vessels
  • Own concession inventory control & procurement processes
  • Determines food & beverage needs for event cruises and co-ordinates with caterer to deliver high quality food with impeccable timing and quantities
  • Work closely with the finance team to develop and manage operational budgets; monitor expenditures, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure financial discipline within the operations function
  • Partner with the Director of Marine Operations to streamline existing products
  • Develop, refine and ensure compliance with all SOPs
  • Uphold stringent safety protocols for all team members on the vessels and related properties
  • Uphold uncompromising food quality standards throughout all operational processes
  • Manage coordination for events with external vendors
  • Conduct client walk-throughs as needed
  • Conduct hand-off calls with private event clients and the sales team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. 
  • Proven track record of at least 12 years in operations, with 5+ years in a management role. Hospitality, restaurant, F&B experience preferred.
  • Highly hands-on with strong problem-solving capabilities under pressure.
  • Ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Exceptional team management abilities, with a history of building and motivating high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and strong organizational skills; attention to detail.
  • Work schedule is 50+ hours a week; must be available to work weekends and holidays.
  • Work locations New York, NY, valid driver’s license required.
