The Sr. Analyst of Operations, Strategy, & Innovation (OSI) provides leadership for operational modernization, enterprise systems and tools, and data governance within the Graduate School for performance optimization and strategic decision making. The role translates graduate education operational needs into cross-functional initiatives, builds scalable data and reporting practices, and advances strategic priorities through coordinated project leadership and stakeholder engagement. This role is designed to increase the Graduate School's operational capacity by improving workflows, strengthening data quality, and enabling technology-supported services that support unit goals.
The Sr. Analyst leads the management and prioritization of graduate reporting requests while anticipating emerging reporting needs and guiding the ongoing improvement of reporting capabilities. The role translates complex data and technical information into clear, actionable insights that support decision-making by senior leadership. This person collaborates across the Graduate School and with campus partners to align reporting, analytics, and operational improvements with institutional priorities, applying a continuous improvement mindset to strengthen efficiency and effectiveness.
This position reports directly to the Vice Provost for Graduate Education and Dean of the Graduate School and serves as a member of the Graduate School's Operations Leadership team and the Deans & Directors Leadership team.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
4 years of relevant experience required.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field; 4 years of experience in higher education operations, analytics, strategic planning, enterprise systems, or related fields; Experienced in data analysis and data work flow management; Demonstrated proficiency in SQL, Python, and other programming languages sufficient to develop, evaluate, and oversee analytical workflows, reporting logic, and data transformations; Demonstrated experience and success leading collaborative, cross-functional teams on complex projects; Demonstrated experience in process optimization and automation; Evidence of leading innovation and change to improve workflows related to data and analysis and operations.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced experience with enterprise reporting platforms, visualization tools, or complex data environments in higher education; Proven track record of advocating for the development and/or modification of policies, processes, and programs that enhance team performance, particularly when related to technology; Demonstrated commitment to staff professional development; Strong written and oral communication skills; 4-8 years of experience preferred; Master's degree in Business Administration, Management, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
