Job DescriptionVOR Technology is seeking a Senior Network Systems Engineer to provide network security support to the contract focusing on SIGINT systems interconnectivity. Experience with Linux, switches, routers, encryption devices, copper and fiber connectivity and protocols is required. Primary responsibilities will include design, integration, test, operations, and maintenance of connecting networks.
Occasional operational systems support is required after-hours or on a call-in basis.

- Seven (7) years' of experience in network design or network security.
- Cisco Certification CCNA/CCNP or Certified Design Professional is required.
- Five (5) years' of experience with the following:
- Resolving complex network problems, and operating network analyzers, Wide Area Network (WAN) test equipment, and network simulators.
- Implementing networks with Gigabit Ethernet, Fast Ethernet and security services, terminal servers, and Network Time Protocol (NTP) services.
- Performing network and network security architecture, design, and integration on UNIX, Windows, Linux, or other Operating System (OS) configurations. - Four (4) years’ experience with configuration and sustainment of Firewall and IP or Serial Encryption devices, modern LAN/WAN solutions including IP networking
- Knowledge of and experience with Cisco, Juniper devices, and file storage applications in native and virtual environments.
- Provided protocol support including TCP, UDP, DHCP, SSH, NTP, DNS, ARP, ICMP, SCP, and TFTP.
- Experience with MPLS, QOS, SONET/SDH optical solutions, and serial communications.
- Ability to implement and sustain security solutions for boundary protection using secure methods with knowledge of IPSEC, SSL VPN, Access Authentication Authorization (AAA) and Access Control List (ACL) implementation.
Additional Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of WAN Optimizers
- LINUX experience
- Working knowledge of dynamic routing protocols to include EIGRP and BGP
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Certification (can substitute for 1 year experience)
- Knowledge of intrusion detection system (IDS) rules
Education Requirement: Bachelor's Degree in a technical field
