Cognizant is looking for a Senior.Net Developer for developing customized product for our clients. The role is expected to drive technology discussions and analyze the current landscape for gaps in addressing business needs. Cognizant needs a motivated individual to challenge the status quo and provide thought leadership/standard processes to improve our current services and technologies.

An ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working in a fast paced, collaborative environment. Someone that values the "team" and leverages the opinions and expertise of their teammates to deliver quality.

Cognizant will not sponsor H-1B or other U.S. work authorization, or lawful permanent residence (otherwise known as a "Green Card") for this role.

Experience

8 - 15 years

Location : Hartford, CT (Hybrid)

Skills: .NET (C#, ASP.NET, WCF, MVC,. Net Core) & SQL Server experience

Roles & Responsibilities

• 8 + years of Experience

• Insurance (P&C) experience preferred.

• Experience working in Agile and Waterfall projects

• Team management, leading cross functional teams.

• Should have Cloud and Devops knowledge and prior experience in leading cloud hosted applications/ projects

• Should have .NET ( C#, ASP.NET, WCF, MVC,. Net Core) & SQL Server experience

• Should have very good communication skill and should be able to assess and analyze work with client along with manage the offshore team

• Should have knowledge is Incident/ problem management process.

• Work directly with the Client App Managers and Delivery Leads

Direct interaction with business community

• Analyze and assess business requirements and bridge the information with the offshore team and manage the work to ensure the development, testing and deployment of the required functionality/ enhancement.

Incident and Problem Management

• Recommend solutions to improve new and existing applications

• Offer support by responding to system problems in a timely manner.

• Understand and document data flows in and between different systems/applications

• Guidance to developers in preparing functional/technical specs to define reporting requirement and ETL process.

The annual salary for this position is depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
