Job Summary
Aretum is seeking a skilled Senior Developer in the Microsoft ecosystem, particularly with knowledge of .NET solutions, to join our team in creating dynamic and innovative solutions for our clients. The ideal candidate will play a key role in modernizing legacy applications, guiding migration strategies, and designing cloud-native solutions. You will work in cross-functional teams providing software development activities in support of maintenance and enhancement of existing systems. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining applications and systems for our clients. Your expertise will ensure that we deliver high-quality development solutions to enhance our clients’ operational efficiency and technological advancement.
Due to the nature of our work as a federal consulting organization, employees may be expected to handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and must adhere to applicable safeguarding and compliance requirements.
Responsibilities
- Work cross-functionally in an Agile environment to develop cloud-native applications using .NET 10, Angular 20+, and Azure Services with a focus on Web API and Entity Framework Core
- Must be flexible, able to work in a highly collaborative environment, juggle multiple tasks at once, and work independently and collaboratively as needed
- Utilize superior interpersonal skills and strong communication skills
- Be comfortable working directly with the Project Manager to support emerging client needs
- Ensure alignment with enterprise security, governance, and accessibility standards
Requirements
- 7+ years of demonstrated experience with C#, ASP.NET, and .NET development
- Bachelor's Degree (5 additional years of experience are acceptable in lieu of a degree)
- Microsoft Certified Professional and/or Azure Certification
- Experience refactoring and migrating .NET Framework applications to .NET Core, including ASP.NET, ASP.NET Core
- 5+ years of experience building and maintaining RESTful services and WCF
- 4+ years of experience with JavaScript and Angular v16 or higher
- Solid experience with Entity Framework and Entity Framework Core
- Experience with Azure Cloud
- Experience with Visual Studio Ultimate 2017/2019/+, Azure DevOps, and Git
- Containerization experience on Windows servers with Docker and Kubernetes
- Solid knowledge of Scrum Agile development methodology
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
Travel Requirements
This is a remote position; however, occasional travel may be required based on project needs, client meetings, team collaboration events, or training sessions. Travel is expected to be less than 10% and will be communicated in advance whenever possible.

U.S. Work Authorization

- Salary Range: $120,000–$150,000 annually. Final compensation will be determined based on factors including education, experience, qualifications, skills, and applicable contract requirements.

Skills Required
