As a Project Engineer at Lam, you're not merely managing projects - you're driving advancements integral to the design and development of Lam's products. Leading cross-functional teams, you'll steer the execution of engineering projects, leveraging your technical prowess and strategic insight to deliver enhanced products. Your focus on continuous improvement in the development lifecycle will be pivotal as you own project to optimize and enhance Lam's offerings.
- Manages the development and implementation process of a company’s products and services.
- Coordinates departmental or cross-functional teams, focused on delivering new or upgrading existing products.
- Monitors the project from initiation through delivery including planning and directing schedules and monitoring budget/spending.
- Organizes cross-functional activities, ensuring completion of the project i.e. product on schedule and within budget constraints.
- Minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 5 years experience; or equivalent experience.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
Salary
CA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $125,000.00 - $270,000.00.
The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.

Skills Required
- At least 12 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree, or 10 years with a master's degree, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with engineering product development processes and best practices.
- Management experience.
- Design engineering experience, preferably in semiconductor equipment.
- Experience with MCAD, preferably Siemens NX or PTC Creo, including part and assembly modeling, on-model annotations, technical data packages, fabrication, and inspection; or ECAD, preferably Zuken E3.
- Experience analyzing data, drawing business conclusions, and using data visualization techniques and tools.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Process knowledge in PLM and ERP.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Excellent client-facing, internal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational, leadership, influencing, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to engage engineering teams and drive positive cultural change.
- International travel availability.
- Experience with QuickBase, SharePoint, Power BI, iPLM, TCPLM, SAP, MATLAB, or other programming languages.
- Mechanical or electrical engineering experience.
- Five or more years of modeling experience, including NX 12 or newer, Creo 5 or newer, or Zuken E3.
- Experience with model-based definition, product configuration engineering, manufacturing engineering, Intel Copy Exactly!, field service, logistics/spares, POA workflows, or offshore engineering teams.
