Job Description
The Sr. Media Strategist will support national media strategy for all brand marketing campaigns and have oversight of media agency activities. This role will be charged with developing and executing media strategies that enhance brand visibility, drive customer engagement, and ultimately ensure return on our investment in media campaigns. The Sr. Media Strategist will bring extensive experience in media planning and strategy, strong analytical skills, and a creative approach to produce effective marketing solutions for the Harbor Freight brand.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead media strategy across all media channels such as TV, Paid Digital, OTT, Radio & Audio Streaming, OOH etc.
- Translate Brand and New Store Marketing business goals into strategic media plans and tactics.
- Determine appropriate channel mix for national media campaigns based on data and media trends
- Leverage industry planning tools and data to conduct audience identification, analysis and scenario media planning recommendations that align with brand marketing strategies & objectives.
- Partner with media agency and oversee media activities
- Collaborate closely with internal Digital Media team for plan inputs and to ensure digital brand campaigns are crafted and delivered in line with brand plans.
- Deliver ongoing data driven media campaign optimization recommendations to react to new or evolving business needs.
- Optimize ad campaigns according to geographic exposure, frequency, time spans, etc.
- Analyze data to evaluate the success of media campaigns and strategies. Create reports as necessary
- Evaluate existing and emerging media trends and opportunities and brings forward recommendations /POVs.
- Partner successfully with cross-functional teams for full integration of media and communications plans.

Requirements
Education and Experience
Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required
Years of Experience
- Media Expertise: 10+ years of strategic media planning experience with an advanced understanding of all media vehicles and channels
- Experience leveraging industry standard media planning tools & data sets to create data driven media plans and optimizations.
- Strong analytical background with an ability to triangulate between data, brand goals and opportunities.
- Experience with campaign evaluation metrics and media buying
Skills
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple stakeholders and multiple priorities, balancing short- and long-term needs and implications.
- Data-driving curiosity and willingness to lead change where required.
- Strong communication skills
Physical Requirements

The anticipated salary range for this position is $108,100 - $162,000 depending on location, knowledge, skills, education and experience. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition, we offer comprehensive and competitive benefits to Associates (and their families) such as medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability. Eligible Associates are able to enroll in our company's 401k plan. Associates will accrue paid time off up to 236 hours per year (inclusive of PTO, floating holidays, and paid holidays). Paid sick time up to 80 hours per year unless otherwise required by law.
