The role
Raydar is recruiting for this opportunity through the Paraform network. The position is with our client. Design and build precision manufacturing equipment, taking full systems from CAD and analysis through lab integration and production deployment.
What you'll do
- Design custom equipment, fixtures, automation, and electromechanical assemblies.
- Automate and improve metrology and precision process tools.
- Integrate stages, actuators, bearings, electronics, and multi-axis motion systems.
- Work with software engineers, machinists, and suppliers through fabrication and assembly.
- Test and troubleshoot equipment, balancing design work with hands-on laboratory integration.
Requirements
What we're looking for
- 5 to 15 years of relevant experience; approximately 2 to 3 years may be considered with a master's degree.
- A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or an appropriate advanced degree.
- Direct ownership of custom machinery from concept through fabrication and testing.
- Strong 3D CAD skills, preferably Creo; SolidWorks or NX are also accepted.
- Working knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and design for manufacturing and assembly.
- Full-system experience across precision mechanisms, automation, and integration.
Bonus points
- Semiconductor equipment, wafer processing, factory automation, or metrology experience.
- Precision motion, optics, robotics, or micron-scale measurement experience.

- Base salary: USD 120,000 to 185,000 per year.

Location and work model
