The Role
About the role
At Kyndryl, we are currently building a new Technology Strategy capability within our Consulting Practice in Germany. Our focus is not on isolated technology topics, but on value-driven, end-to-end transformations – from strategic target definition through to execution across operating model, processes, and technology.
In this role, you will take a key position in building our M&A and IT due diligence capability. You will work on transactions with a clear focus on value creation and execution feasibility.
At the same time, you will contribute to projects that aim to integrate business, operating model, and technology, working closely with our technology experts in delivering transformation outcomes.
Your responsibilities
M&A & IT Due Diligence
Lead IT due diligence and M&A engagements end-to-end
Assess IT, operating models, processes, and cost structures in a transaction context
Derive value levers, risks, and actionable recommendations for investors and management
Design and steer carve-outs, integrations, and Day 1 / TSA concepts
Value Creation & End-to-End Transformation
Translate transactions into concrete value creation initiatives and transformation programs
Develop target states, roadmaps, and governance structures to ensure sustainable value realization
Design operating models, processes, and governance frameworks aligned with strategic objectives
Work closely with technology experts to drive implementation across the transformation
Capability Build & Market
Actively contribute to building our M&A and Technology Strategy capability (methodologies, offerings, storylines)
Develop client relationships in M&A and transformation contexts and support business development
Development of teams and individuals within a growing capability
Who You Are
- ~6–12 years of experience in M&A / IT due diligence and/or value-driven transformation, within a Big4 or comparable consulting or in-house environment
- Proven experience across several of the following areas:
- IT due diligence (commercial, technical, operational)
- Carve-outs and integrations (incl. Day 1, TSA, separation planning)
- Operating model design and organizational/process transformation
- Transformation programs focused on value creation and scalability
- Strong ability to structure complex situations, develop hypotheses, and translate them into clear decision frameworks, roadmaps, and execution plans
- Experience in leading projects and teams and managing complex engagements
- Confident interaction with senior stakeholders (C-level, deal leads, private equity) and in facilitating workshops and decision forums
- Experience in business development and proposal work, ideally in transaction or transformation contexts
- Fluent in German and English (both written and spoken)
- You combine depth in M&A and transformation and can actively connect both
- You think in terms of value creation, execution, and impact
- You are comfortable operating between fast-paced, hypothesis-driven deal environments and structured transformation delivery
- You bring together business, operating model, and technology into an integrated perspective
- You take ownership, drive topics forward, and thrive in a build-up environment
- You communicate clearly, structured, and at a senior-executive level
