As a Sr Manager of Supply Chain, you will be responsible for leading Supply Chain Development, Production & Materials Planning, Purchasing, Logistics, & Inventory Management, and Distribution for the Alachua site. You will serve on the site leadership team, contributing to the strategy and priorities of the business, working closely with the Business Operations team in delivering customer requirements. You will be responsible for converting the plan into functional goals and communicate and drive them with their team and the organization.

Main Responsibilities:

Communicate with, develop, coach, and performance manage the team, deriving the best results for the individuals and the Company

Supply Chain Development:

  • Drive the development and scalability of site processes to drive high customer service while optimizing inventory levels
  • Influence the supply chain and drive continuous improvements around base processes and KPIs
  • Provide strategic cross-functional collaboration with Business Operations, Manufacturing and Quality to ensure team alignment and execute strategic initiatives
  • Build capabilities to improve supply chain effectiveness, and utilize resources and materials to achieve and sustain service level targets utilizing lean continuous improvement methodology (DBS).
  • Lead teams and supplier business reviews in the management of key supplier relationships/key business reviews, supplier scorecards, etc. in the region as well as negotiating critical supply contracts, including analyzing market data, evaluating supply alternatives, create negotiation strategies.

Production and Materials Planning:

  • Oversee Planning and Scheduling, working in coordination with Business Operations, to deliver on time orders to clients with optimal execution.
  • Responsible for materials planning and coordination of orders with the third party procurement service (Amici) for GMP and PD materials.
  • Ensure every step of the process is functioning effectively to avoid costly delays and lost sales opportunities.
  • Developing and implementing strategic supply chain plans to meet the organization's production and inventory objectives.


Logistics and Inventory Management:

  • Responsible for warehousing operations and maintaining proper inventory levels in line with financial and customer expectations
  • Overseeing team that manages entire supply planning process, including demand forecasting, inventory management, and production deadlines.
  • Oversee inventory system development and optimization in partnership with third party vendor (Amici)
  • Oversee Supply Chain related deviation/event investigation analysis. Help drive reductions in unplanned deviations and focus on improving first pass quality
  • Developing key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure supply chain performance and drive continuous improvement.
  • Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, business, operations or related field and 10+ years of previous broad-based supply chain experience in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology-related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience at a manager level leading a Supply Chaing team with CDMO, CPG or Health Care organization
  • Knowledge of LEAN Six Sigma and lean concepts
  • Expertise in contracting and negotiation
  • Experience with Supply Chain systems
  • Experience in cross-functional team collaborations
  • A continuous process improvement mindset with the ability to effectively lead and manage change.
  • Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects. Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.
  • Excellent planning, documentation, organization, and scheduling abilities preferred
  • A working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a great attention to detail
