ADI is seeking a highly motivated Sr Component Sourcing Manager to lead sourcing strategies, supplier leverage, and cost optimization across key direct material categories supporting our integrated product portfolio—including audio/visual, security, networking, surveillance, control systems, and smart home devices.
This role will partner closely with engineering, product, quality, operations, finance, and global manufacturing partners to influence design decisions, improve BOM cost transparency, strengthen supplier resiliency, and drive long term margin improvement across ADI/Snap One's proprietary product platforms.
The ideal candidate has deep experience in electronics/component sourcing, supplier negotiations, ODM/JDM/EMS commercial models, and early NPI engagement. This role requires someone who can move beyond transactional procurement to build sourcing strategies that improve cost, supply continuity, lifecycle readiness, and technology alignment across a global hardware portfolio.
Success in this role will be measured by cost reduction, PPV performance, supplier leverage, NPI sourcing readiness, risk mitigation, and supplier performance improvement.
JOB DUTIES:
Category & Cost Strategy
- Own category strategies for electronic (PCBA-level), mechanical (plastic/metal), and cable/interconnect commodities.
- Develop and manage commercial cost models across JDM, ODM, and EMS partners, including BOM transparency, value add margin, and material cost validation.
- Build should-cost models and leverage PPV, TCO, and benchmark data to deliver cost reductions, margin improvements, and supply resiliency.
- Partner with engineering and product teams to align supplier roadmaps, component lifecycles, density transitions, alternate technologies, and AVL strategy with future products platforms.
- Monitor raw material and commodity markets (copper, resins, semiconductors) to inform hedging and price lock strategies.
Supplier Sourcing & Management
- Build direct relationships with semiconductor, memory, PCB, interconnect, display, power, and electromechanical manufacturers to improve cost, allocation, roadmap visibility, and preferred supplier leverage across ADI/Snap Ones platforms.
- Lead RFQs, cost analysis, and award decisions across strategic suppliers for both NPI and sustaining products.
- Manage commercial negotiations, pricing agreements, payment terms, and rebate programs with key suppliers (including Asia-based CMs and component manufacturers).
- Drive supplier consolidation and alignment efforts to reduce complexity, increase leverage, and support Snap One’s roadmap.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as the sourcing lead during early product architecture and NPI phases, influencing component selection, AVL strategy, manufacturability, lifecycle risk, and total cost before designs are locked.
- Align with quality, operations, and planning teams to ensure supplier performance on delivery, quality, and responsiveness.
- Support manufacturing transitions, dual sourcing efforts, and component requalification initiatives due to EOL or risk triggers.
Risk & Contract Management
- Proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks—including single-sourced items, geopolitical/tariff exposure, and lead time volatility.
- Negotiate and maintain long-term supply agreements and sourcing terms that support ADI/Snap One’s business continuity and financial goals.
- Ensure compliance with trade regulations (U.S. tariffs, country of origin, HTS codes) and sustainability policies.
YOU MUST HAVE:
- 7+ years in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain roles, preferably in electronics, AV, or IoT industries.
- Proven track record sourcing PCBAs, passive/active components, wire & cable, thermal, and mechanical parts.
- Experience working with ODMs, JDMs, and EMS partners in Asia (China, Taiwan, Vietnam, Malaysia, et al) and/or Mexico.
- Strong Excel/Power BI skills for cost modeling and reporting; ERP experience preferred (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, etc.).
