As a Senior Manager, Salesforce Architecture & Engineering, you will lead the architecture, design, and delivery of enterprise-scale Salesforce applications across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Data Cloud, Agentforce, and custom Salesforce Platform solutions. You will be responsible for driving platform innovation through scalable architecture, modern engineering practices, and AI-enabled business capabilities.
You will report directly to our Senior Director, Engineering and you’ll work out of our New Jersey location on a hybrid work schedule

This role requires deep expertise in designing and building custom applications on Salesforce using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, APIs, integrations, and Salesforce AI technologies. You will establish development standards, architectural governance, and platform best practices while ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business objectives.
As a senior technical leader, you will partner closely with business stakeholders, product teams, enterprise architects, and external technology partners to develop innovative Salesforce-based solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes.

ResponsibilitiesKEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Salesforce Platform Architecture
- Own the architectural vision and technical roadmap for Salesforce-based applications and platform capabilities.
- Design secure, scalable, and high-performing Salesforce solutions that support enterprise business processes.
- Establish Salesforce architecture standards, governance processes, and development frameworks.
- Lead architecture reviews and provide technical oversight for major platform initiatives.
- Drive adoption of Salesforce Data Cloud, Agentforce, Einstein AI, and emerging platform capabilities.
Application Development Leadership
- Lead teams building custom applications on the Salesforce Platform using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, Visualforce,
APIs, and Platform Events.
- Provide hands-on architectural guidance for complex application development initiatives.
- Drive engineering excellence through CI/CD automation, automated testing, code reviews, and DevOps best practices.
- Ensure platform solutions meet requirements for scalability, performance, security, and maintainability.
- Establish coding standards and application lifecycle management processes.
Integration & Enterprise Solutions
- Architect integration solutions connecting Salesforce with ERP, data platforms, marketing systems, cloud platforms, and external applications.
- Define API-first, event-driven, and service-oriented integration patterns.
- Partner with enterprise architecture and data teams to establish scalable customer and operational data strategies.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise security, governance, and regulatory requirements.
Team Leadership & Talent Development
- Build, mentor, and lead a team of Salesforce architects, technical leads, and software engineers.
- Create a culture centered on innovation, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Support hiring, succession planning, employee development, and retention initiatives.
- Provide technical coaching and career development opportunities for team members.
Business Partnership
- Collaborate with business leaders and product teams to translate business requirements into strategic platform solutions.
- Partner with Salesforce and other technology vendors to leverage emerging technologies and best practices.
- Align platform investments with measurable business outcomes and customer value.
- Communicate architectural strategies, risks, and recommendations to executive stakeholders.
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- 10+ years of software engineering and architecture experience.
- 7+ years of hands-on Salesforce platform development and architecture experience.
- 3+ years leading Salesforce development, architecture, or engineering teams.
- Extensive experience designing and building enterprise applications on the Salesforce Platform.
- Strong hands-on expertise with: Apex Development, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Salesforce Flows, Salesforce APIs, Platform Events, Integration Architecture, Data Modeling, and Security & Sharing Architecture
- Experience leading implementations across Salesforce Platform.
- Proven success delivering large-scale Salesforce Managed Packages as an ISV.
- Experience implementing DevOps, CI/CD, source control, and Agile delivery practices.
WE VALUE
- Salesforce Application Architect, System Architect, or Certified Technical Architect (CTA) certifications.
- Experience with Salesforce Data Cloud, Agentforce, Einstein AI, MuleSoft, and Industry Clouds.
- Experience building highly customized Salesforce applications beyond standard CRM configurations.
- Knowledge of AWS, Azure, and enterprise cloud architecture patterns.

The annual base salary range for this position is $248,000 - $311,000. This position is incentive plan eligible. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
