Home Based, US

The Senior Manager, Site Contracts is responsible to lead, manage, support and have oversight for a team of high-level individual contributors or a group of Managers within Global Site Contracts team in delivery of timely, high-quality site contracts within project timelines. Guide ongoing training, management, and career development processes for the team. In addition, the Senior Manager is responsible to resource client projects suitably developed professionals and to retain and develop these professionals within Parexel. The Senior Manager may also be part of a project team and be responsible for successful delivery of his/her own project deliverables, on time with high quality. The Senior Manager is responsible to promote new business by participating in project bids and client presentations as appropriate. The Senior Manager is responsible to provide expertise and consultation to project teams. The Senior Manager is an experienced leader capable of working independently, under supervision of the Associate Director, Director or Senior Director.

Accountabilities:

Project Delivery Management & Oversight

  • Lead site contracts team to ensure optimal operational delivery to support business requirements & contribute to an industry leading Study Start-Up capability
  • Provide consultation, facilitate metrics collections & develop action plans in conjunction with Management/Project Leadership/Leads to keep project on time & within budget
  • Keep & oversee team activities including appropriate resourcing of staff, staff assignments, quality control & efficiency of project deliverables

Performance Management & Staff Development

  • Recruit, retain & mentor the site contracts team to foster growth, teamwork & empowerment
  • Set clear individual & function level goals & productivity/billability targets with effective feedback & recognition of strong performance
  • Provide technical support to team members - oversee the training curriculum & provide learning opportunities for staff development
  • Participate in formal staff reviews

Client Management & Business Development

  • May be tasked with support efforts for generating business leads (client networking, public speaking, etc.)
  • May participate in & contribute to Project bids, including client presentations
  • May be responsible to coordinate client or account activities for department or function

Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, including verbal and written communication, active listening, providing constructive feedback and facilitating group discussions.
  • Developing ability to think globally, strategically and analytically to problem-solve, make decisions keeping the patient and customer in focus.
  • Driven to deliver quality results on time and in a highly ethical and professional manner
  • Developing personal awareness and emotionally intelligent, ability to self-motivate, innovate, delegate, and manage time as well as taking ownership and accountability for deliverables.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • 10 years’ experience in late phase clinical research
  • 5-7 years’ experience in site contracts
  • Expertise in ICH-GxP's

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or other relevant experience required. Life-science or other health-related 
    discipline preferred.
