Job Summary

The Senior Manager – Financial Planning & Analysis Systems is an individual-contributor role responsible for the end-to-end FP&A technology portfolio. The position serves as the primary liaison between FP&A and IT, and external delivery partners translating finance priorities into scalable solutions across SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and SAP Datasphere. The role architects and optimizes planning models, data pipelines, dashboards, and executive reporting to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making while ensuring reliable operations, disciplined enhancement delivery, and effective vendor performance.

Job Description

Key Accountabilities

•Own and optimize the full FP&A systems portfolio and roadmap.

•Partner with finance, Delivery and Data teams to convert business needs into system requirements and technology solutions. Provide functional direction and delivery governance for vendor partners performing application maintenance and application development, while retaining internal accountability for outcomes.

•Design and maintain SAC planning models, calculations, allocations, dashboards, executive stories, workflows, security, and data controls.

•Architect the financial data layer in SAP Datasphere, including data ingestion, transformations, analytical datasets, and semantic models.

•Integrate SAP S/4HANA, legacy ERP platforms, and non-SAP data sources.

•Protect financial data integrity and enforce governance standards.

•Lead the development of documentation, training materials, and end-user enablement programs.

•Monitor vendor service levels, delivery quality, capacity, risks, dependencies, and financial performance; facilitate governance reviews and drive timely escalation and remediation.

•Collaborate with Finance, IT, Basis, and Infrastructure teams on system capacity, performance, and governance.

Education, Experience & Skill Requirements

•Experience gained through college degree programs in Finance, Accounting, MIS, Data Analytics

•5+ years of experience in corporate FP&A, financial systems, or enterprise data management.

•2–3+ years of hands-on experience configuring and supporting SAC Planning and SAP Datasphere. Advanced SAC expertise in planning models, dimensions, Data Actions, advanced formulas, allocations, workflows, security, and live/import connections.

•Strong understanding of financial statements, forecasting, allocations, consolidations, and multi-currency processes.

•Ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions, maintain high data accuracy, and communicate effectively with technical teams and executive stakeholders.

•Experience directing managed-service and development vendors, including work intake, prioritization, scope and estimate review, delivery governance, service-level management, and quality assurance.

Key Metrics

•Accuracy and reconciliation of financial data across ERP, Datasphere, and SAC.

•Budgeting and forecasting cycle completion time. And Forecast timeliness and accuracy.

•SAC dashboard and planning-model performance.

•Data pipeline reliability and successful refresh or replication rates.

•Number and severity of production defects or data discrepancies.

•SIT and UAT completion and defect-resolution rates.

•System availability and issue-resolution time.

•User adoption, training completion, and stakeholder satisfaction.

•Delivery of planned enhancements against the FP&A systems roadmap

•Vendor achievement of service-level agreements, including response, resolution, and backlog-aging targets.

•On-time, within-budget delivery of vendor-led enhancements and development releases.
