Job Description

You will oversee all US category forecasting activities as a key input to monthly (IBP), annual (Annual Contract), and strategic (SGP, SP, V2030) processes, driving alignment with cross-functional teams. In addition, you will provide key inputs into various forums such as MPR, BPR and DR.
How you will contribute
You will:

  • Manage US category forecasting process to produce unbiased outputs for monthly (IBP), annual (AC), and strategic (SGP, SP, V2030) processes over a 24-month period with properly documented assumptions and a higher-level outlook for three years hence.
  • Governance forum and integration with category and channel teams
  • Regular model maintenance (models, techniques, parameters, coefficients, variables, data sources).
  • Systematically monitor macroeconomic, competitive, and industry developments.
  • Partner with senior commercial, finance, and supply chain leadership to quantify and validate risks and opportunities to close gaps between the forecast and actuals.
  • Lead the quarterly (and ad-hoc) governance forum process to align on and coordinate the appropriate assumptions for the category forecasts.
  • Continuously improve the US category forecasting approach and process.
  • Support prep for business reviews such as, MPR, BPR, DR.
  • Migrate infrastructure to GCP/Other products (data pipeline, visualization, reporting).
  • Build forecast models for strategic adjacent categories.
  • Refining the channel model and variable assumption methodology.
  • Work on development of custom models/algorithms to uncover signals/patterns and trends to drive long-term business performance.
  • Apply your expertise in analysis of data with high volumes, velocities and variety (numbers, symbols, text, sound and image). In addition, you will develop forward-looking, predictive, real-time, model-based insights to create value and drive effective decision making.
  • Understand the identification, validation and exploitation of internal and external data sets generated from a diverse range of functional processes and in general you will be an expert in functional data.


What you will bring
A desire to drive your future and accelerate your career and the following experience and knowledge:

  • Bachelor's degree required. MBA or Masters in Analytics, Finance, Economics, or related areas preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in finance, commercial, marketing, and/or supply chain.
  • Comprehensive supply chain, economic, financial or logistics experience and strong business acumen, ideally in a fast-moving consumer goods or consumer goods environment.
  • Strong quantitative skillset with experience using data analysis to make recommendations to senior leaders.
  • A natural inclination and curiosity for solving complex problems while balancing art and science.
  • Strategic agility, able to drive for cross-functional results by proactively understanding and managing key issues and success criteria and prioritizing accordingly.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical skills, and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of advanced analytics platforms like R, Python, SQL, Alteryx, etc.
  • Experience in generating dashboards and manipulating data visualization KPIs (Power BI, Tableau).

Education / Certifications:
Advanced degree in Analytics, Mathematics, Economics preferred, Bachelors degree required
Job specific requirements:
Ability to run, build and explain data models (Regression, SARIMA etc), strong Microsoft Excel Skills, and strong presentation skills with senior leadership
Travel requirements:
Less than 5%
Work schedule:
Monday to Friday, Hybrid in office 1-2 days per week in East Hanover, NJ or Chicago, IL
