Kaimetrix is looking for a Sr. IT Systems Engineer to provide critical advisory and engineering support across enterprise compute, storage, and backup systems. This role plays a key part in designing and maintaining secure, modern IT infrastructure to support complex mission and enterprise services.
Responsibilities:
Lead the architecture, design, deployment, and sustainment of enterprise-wide compute, storage, and backup infrastructure
Implement Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) using modern, software-defined technologies
Conduct system performance assessments, technical planning, requirements traceability, and cost estimation
Develop and maintain documentation in support of configuration management, lifecycle sustainment, and change advisory processes
Apply cybersecurity best practices and ensure all systems align with DoD or equivalent commercial cybersecurity policies
- Support the development of Business Case Analyses (BCAs), Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs), and project roadmaps
Education/Experience:
Minimum of 8 years of Systems Engineering experience
- A Master’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science may substitute for 3 years of experience; a Bachelor’s may substitute for 1 year
Certifications:
- Intermediate or higher technical certification (e.g., CompTIA Server+, INCOSE ASEP, Microsoft Certified Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, SNIA Certified Storage Networking Expert)
