Sr. IT Systems Engineer

Location: Offutt AFB, NE
Clearance: Active TS/SCI required
Kaimetrix is looking for a Sr. IT Systems Engineer to provide critical advisory and engineering support across enterprise compute, storage, and backup systems. This role plays a key part in designing and maintaining secure, modern IT infrastructure to support complex mission and enterprise services.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the architecture, design, deployment, and sustainment of enterprise-wide compute, storage, and backup infrastructure

• Implement Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) using modern, software-defined technologies

• Conduct system performance assessments, technical planning, requirements traceability, and cost estimation

• Develop and maintain documentation in support of configuration management, lifecycle sustainment, and change advisory processes

• Apply cybersecurity best practices and ensure all systems align with DoD or equivalent commercial cybersecurity policies

• Support the development of Business Case Analyses (BCAs), Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs), and project roadmaps

Education/Experience:

• Minimum of 8 years of Systems Engineering experience

• A Master’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science may substitute for 3 years of experience; a Bachelor’s may substitute for 1 year

Certifications:

• Intermediate or higher technical certification (e.g., CompTIA Server+, INCOSE ASEP, Microsoft Certified Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, SNIA Certified Storage Networking Expert)
