Sr IT Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior IT Engineer with a primary focus on administering cloud computing platforms, especially Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will also have knowledge of AWS, along with expertise in Windows administration, patching, and vulnerability management. This role will involve designing, implementing, and managing cloud solutions to enhance our IT infrastructure and support our organization's goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and manage Microsoft Azure cloud services, including deployment, monitoring, and optimization of resources.
• Implement and manage AWS cloud solutions as needed, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
• Perform Windows server administration tasks, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of Windows operating systems.
• Conduct regular system patching and updates to ensure all systems are secure and up to date.
• Identify, assess, and resolve security vulnerabilities across the cloud and on-premises environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable and reliable cloud architectures.
• Develop and maintain documentation for cloud infrastructure, processes, and procedures.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively, providing timely resolutions.
• Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in cloud computing and IT security.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in IT engineering with a focus on cloud platforms, preferably Azure.
• Strong understanding of AWS services and deployment strategies.
• Extensive experience in Windows server administration and management.
• Knowledge of vulnerability assessment tools and patch management practices.
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation tasks is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are highly desirable.
