We are seeking a SAP S/4 BTP / Fiori Technical Resource to design and deliver modern user experiences and scalable cloud extensions leveraging SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). This role will drive Fiori application development, side-by-side extensions, and enterprise integration patterns across mission-critical business processes.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role combining ABAP expertise, UI development, API enablement, and middleware integration governance.
ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Best Practices
- Define and enforce SAP S/4 and BTP development standards aligned to clean-core strategy.
- Promote upgrade-safe extensibility and minimize core modifications.
- Establish reusable design patterns for APIs, workflows, and UI components.
- Conduct technical design reviews and code governance oversight.
- Ensure solutions meet performance, scalability, and security standards.
SAP BTP Architecture & Extension Strategy
- Design and implement side-by-side extensions on SAP BTP.
- Leverage:
- SAP BTP ABAP Environment
- SAP Integration Suite
- Workflow & Automation services
- Architect event-driven and API-first integration strategies.
- Enable cloud-native capabilities while preserving S/4 core integrity.
- Support hybrid landscapes across on-prem and cloud environments.
Fiori & UX Development
- Lead development and deployment of SAP Fiori applications.
- Configure and manage Fiori Launchpad and role-based access.
- Develop custom UI5 applications aligned to enterprise UX standards.
- Enable embedded analytics and role-based dashboards.
- Ensure responsive and secure design for commercial, supply chain, and finance users.
ABAP & S/4 Technical Expertise
- Develop and extend applications using:
- Object-Oriented ABAP
- CDS Views
- OData services
- RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP)
- Support enhancement framework (BADIs, implicit/explicit enhancements).
- Optimize backend performance supporting high-volume transactions.
- Partner with functional teams to design clean RICEFW alternatives using BTP when appropriate.
Interfaces & Middleware Integration
- Design and implement integration solutions using:
- SAP Integration Suite (CPI)
- APIs & OData services
- IDocs
- Event-based messaging
- Integrate SAP S/4 with:
- Customer portals
- Supply chain systems
- Manufacturing execution systems
- Finance and reporting platforms
- Ensure middleware solutions are scalable, secure, and well-documented.
- Govern interface monitoring and error-handling frameworks.
Quality, Security & Governance
- Ensure compliance with SOX, ITGC, and cybersecurity standards.
- Support transport and release governance processes.
- Implement testing automation for Fiori and API-based solutions.
- Maintain complete technical documentation traceability.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
- 8–12+ years SAP technical experience.
- 2+ full lifecycle SAP implementations (minimum 1 S/4HANA).
- Experience leading technical teams or workstreams.
Required Expertise
- Strong SAP BTP architecture and extension experience.
- Advanced ABAP (OO ABAP, CDS, RAP).
- SAP Fiori/UI5 development expertise.
- Experience developing APIs and OData services.
- Strong middleware and integration experience (SAP Integration Suite preferred).
