We are seeking a Sr Director, Enterprise Data Strategy & Governance to lead the development and execution of Honeywell's enterprise data strategy and governance framework.

In this highly visible leadership role, you will partner across businesses, functions, and technology organizations to establish trusted, governed, and business-aligned data assets that enable enterprise reporting, operational processes, AI initiatives, and strategic transformation programs, including S/4HANA deployment and business process modernization.

You will drive the evolution of Honeywell's data governance operating model, strengthening accountability, stewardship, data quality, master data management, and transactional data governance while fostering a culture of enterprise-wide data ownership..

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Data Strategy

  • Define and execute Honeywell's enterprise data strategy aligned with business transformation, operational excellence, S/4 modernization, and AI priorities.
  • Develop a multi-year roadmap for enterprise data governance, quality, stewardship, and management capabilities.
  • Establish business-driven outcomes, success metrics, and value realization plans for enterprise data initiatives.
  • Partner with senior business and functional leaders to align data priorities with strategic objectives. 

Data Governance & Stewardship

  • Lead the design and implementation of an enterprise-wide data governance framework.
  • Establish clear ownership, accountability, and stewardship models across all critical data domains like Master, Transactional, Reference and Analytical.
  • Facilitate enterprise governance forums and executive governance reviews.
  • Drive governance policy development, standards adoption, and compliance monitoring. 

Data Quality & Trusted Data

  • Establish enterprise data quality standards, KPIs, dashboards, and scorecards.
  • Lead initiatives to improve data quality through root-cause resolution and governance at the point of creation.
  • Build scalable remediation and monitoring processes across master and transactional data domains.
  • Create visibility into data health, business impact, and governance maturity. 

Master Data Management

  • Lead the enterprise strategy for Master Data Management (MDM) and golden record creation.
  • Ensure consistent governance, quality, lineage, and lifecycle management across critical master data domains.
  • Drive harmonization and synchronization of data across ERP, CRM, supply chain, finance, and manufacturing systems.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to define critical data elements, business rules, measures of success and stewardship processes. 
  • Expand governance beyond master data to include end-to-end business process and transactional data governance.
  • Improve data lineage, referential integrity, auditability, and process performance across enterprise systems. 

Organizational Leadership

  • Lead and develop a team of data governance, stewardship, master data, and data quality professionals.
  • Influence cross-functional teams without direct authority to achieve enterprise objectives.
  • Drive organizational change management, adoption, and data literacy initiatives.
  • Build strong partnerships with business leaders, IT leaders, digital teams, and external partners.
Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in Data Management, Data Governance, Analytics, Information Management, or Digital Transformation.
  • 5+ years of experience leading enterprise-scale data governance, master data management, or data quality programs.
  • Experience working within complex global organizations with multiple business units and functions.
  • Experience supporting large-scale ERP transformations, preferably SAP S/4HANA.
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional transformation programs.

  • Experience with platforms such as Collibra, Informatica MDM, Informatica IDQ, SAP MDG, or similar technologies.

  • Experience enabling AI, advanced analytics, and digital transformation through data capabilities.
  • Ability to influence senior executives and drive organizational alignment.
