Job Title: Sr. Hardware Engineering Supervisor – Mechanical/Electronics
Position Overview:
Graduate/post graduate engineer with 12+ years of experience in Technical program management for Transitions, VE/CE Ideations, Cost engineering
Key Responsibilities:
- As VECE Transitions Sr. Hardware engineer, you will address productivity through Transitions, engineering changes, leveraging Product teardown/should cost
- Identify productivity during site-site product transitions, identifying part-localization opportunities, Present findings and recommendations to senior management based on the data gathered during the transition.
- Work closely with business leaders to identify products for regional productivity and bring an impact on gross margin improvement.
- Work with regional sourcing, program management for business case development, projects creation, coordinate for vetting and feasibility
- Work on engineering changes, Make Vs Buy analysis, adopt Total cost modeling and report out the proposals to stakeholders
- Ability to adopt the changes in requirements and make quick decisions, excellent cross functional team collaborations
- Knowledge of manufacturing cost breakup, cost analysis, material model overview, global economic trends and ability to interpret the data for constructive discussion between supplier and cross functional teams.
- Knowledge of supplier’s global footprints
- Analyze costs and develop strategies to improve cost-efficiency for both existing and new designs.
Qualification:
- Masters/Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Engineering or its equivalent
- Professional English speaking and writing.
- Excellent project management, communications and presentation skills.
- Six Sigma/PMP certification will be added advantage
