Job Title: Sr. Hardware Engineering Supervisor – Mechanical/Electronics

Position Overview:
Graduate/post graduate engineer with 12+ years of experience in Technical program management for Transitions, VE/CE Ideations, Cost engineering 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. As VECE Transitions Sr. Hardware engineer, you will address productivity through Transitions, engineering changes, leveraging Product teardown/should cost
  2. Identify productivity during site-site product transitions, identifying part-localization opportunities, Present findings and recommendations to senior management based on the data gathered during the transition. 
  3. Work closely with business leaders to identify products for regional productivity and bring an impact on gross margin improvement. 
  4. Work with regional sourcing, program management for business case development, projects creation, coordinate for vetting and feasibility 
  5. Work on engineering changes, Make Vs Buy analysis, adopt Total cost modeling and report out the proposals to stakeholders  
  6. Ability to adopt the changes in requirements and make quick decisions, excellent cross functional team collaborations
  7. Knowledge of manufacturing cost breakup, cost analysis, material model overview, global economic trends and ability to interpret the data for constructive discussion between supplier and cross functional teams.
  8. Knowledge of supplier’s global footprints 
  9. Analyze costs and develop strategies to improve cost-efficiency for both existing and new designs.

Qualification:

  • Masters/Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Engineering or its equivalent  
  • Professional English speaking and writing.
  • Excellent project management, communications and presentation skills. 
  • Six Sigma/PMP certification will be added advantage

Skills Required

  • 12+ years technical program management experience in transitions, VE/CE ideations, and cost engineering
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

  • Experience performing Make vs Buy analysis and total cost modeling
  • Knowledge of manufacturing cost breakup, cost analysis, and material model interpretation

  • Experience working with regional sourcing, program management, and developing business cases/projects
  • Professional English speaking and writing; excellent project management, communication and presentation skills
  • Six Sigma or PMP certification
