Position Summary:
The Adobe Digital Imaging Data Science Team is looking for an expert Sr. Growth Data Scientist who is passionate about data and has the desire to provide an exceptional product experience for our Photoshop, Lightroom, and Fresco customers through a product-led growth (PLG) strategy. Using extensive product usage data sets, you will partner directly with product managers, designers, engineers, and product marketing managers to align data insights with growth objectives. In this role, you will analyze user behavior, design growth experiments, and provide actionable insights & recommendations to improve customer acquisition, engagement, and retention. Responsibilities:

Analyze product usage patterns to better understand how users are interacting with our products and surfaces.

Partner closely with product and engineering teams to find opportunities to improve our free trial, user onboarding, and skill-building experiences.

Identify and optimize PLG success metrics including free-to-paid conversion, activation, engagement, and retention rates.

Design and analyze A/B tests and multivariate experiments to refine product features and improve user experiences.

Use statistical methods to validate hypotheses and ensure reliable experimentation results.

Develop models to support revenue attribution for test variant winners, propensity to convert, and customer churn.

Build user segmentation models to identify high-value user cohorts.

Collaborate with data engineers to deploy efficient data pipelines to inform accurate & timely decision making.

Build and maintain dashboards to support self-service access to test results and insights.

Act as a trusted advisor to PLG partners, translating complex data insights into actionable strategies.
Requirements:

MS or Ph.D. in data science, computer science, statistics, applied mathematics, engineering, or economics.

5 - 10+ years of relevant data science experience.

Deep understanding of PLG strategies and metrics.

Strong understanding of statistical techniques, hypothesis testing, and machine learning.

Proficiency in SQL and programming languages like Python or R for data analysis and modeling.

Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Adobe Analytics.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
-
Experience addressing executive-level partners.
-
Experience in designing and analyzing growth experiments for enterprise software a plus.

Familiarity with Adobe’s Creative Cloud suite and ecosystems a plus.
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $145,600 -- $276,400 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.
At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
