The Sr. Global Payroll Analyst is responsible for the execution of payroll across international locations in the UK and EMEA. This role is responsible for processing these payrolls while ensuring timely and accurate payroll outputs and working closely with external providers and internal business partners with excellent customer service. The Sr. Global Payroll Analyst is accountable for service delivery while ensuring all activities align to the best practice through increased efficiency of operating systems, internal controls and business processes.
WHAT YOU’LL DO- Process payroll for the UK, EU region & UAE by gathering inputs from international stakeholders and coordinating payroll delivery with accounting vendor and serving as back-up APAC payroll processor
- Support global mobility processes by coordinating with Finance and vendors on international assignment reporting requirements for U.S. and foreign tax return preparation
- Research and respond to payroll cases while collaborating with team and various work streams to resolve employee cases.
- Prepare reports and end-to-end reconciliation for each payroll
- Perform post payroll processing duties as assigned to ensure payroll processing is complete
- Collaborate with payroll vendors for all year end activities
- Collaborate with payroll team members to accomplish department goals and ensure cross-training in all processes
- Collaborate with People Ops, Benefits, HRIS and Finance to ensure seamless processing of payroll data as well as to troubleshoot issues and ensure proper controls and processes within the system are being followed or developed and to identify opportunities to create more effective and efficient processes for compliance with GDPR and SOX requirements
- Assist with the setting up of new entities and participate in projects
- Reconcile any discrepancies in each monthly process, escalating any discrepancies of payroll and benefits data to management and third parties
- Ensure compliance with all relevant payroll laws, tax regulations, and social insurance requirements
- Provide reporting requirements for internal and external audit requests
- Promote data integrity by performing audits & resolving discrepancies
- Ensure you are up to date with legislative changes and share with the team via process documentation
- 4+ years of experience and in-depth knowledge of International Payroll required, including UK & UAE
- 4+ years of experience with cloud-based payroll systems & third party payroll vendors.
- Experience with multiple payroll vendors and contracts
- Highly motivated with strong customer service and dependable work ethic
- Ability to effectively analyze large amounts of data and present key findings to management
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel including formulas and functions
- Outstanding problem-solving and research skills with utmost attention to detail
- Strong project management experience including the ability to manage project plans, dependencies, critical path activities, and milestones with stellar quality
- Excels in hyper-growth environments; versatile, capable of managing multiple projects and tasks
- Collaborates excellently with colleagues, teams, other functions through effective communication
- Adheres to confidentiality as it relates to handling sensitive data
- Ability to work independently as most of the payroll team is in the US
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
