Overview:  Litera is seeking a Senior Gen AI Quality Engineer with deep expertise in software testing to ensure the highest quality of our products. This role will focus on testing leading edge solutions including GenAI, platform services and APIs utilizing industry standard tools like Playwright, Xray, Jira and New Relic.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Scrum Integration: Actively participate in all Agile ceremonies and processes.
  • Test Design & Execution: Craft and execute test cases for new features via UI and APIs, including manual and automation scenarios.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Serve as a feature owner, representing Quality Engineering in various forums and coordinating closely with Engineering, Product Management, and other teams.
  • Tool Mastery: Effectively utilize test management systems like JIRA, Xray, and other tools for issue tracking and test management.
  • Full-Spectrum Testing: Conduct both manual and automated testing for both the front-end and back-end of applications through user interfaces and APIs
  • Defect Handling: Report and verify defect and ensure comprehensive documentation.
  • Test Case Documentation: Create and maintain test cases, scripts, and automation frameworks using Playwright.
  • Automation Development: Contribute to the creation and enhancement of automation scripts and frameworks.
  • Quality Metrics Analysis: Collect and analyze software quality metrics to drive continuous improvement.
  • Mentorship & Advocacy: Mentor junior testers and champion quality standards within the scrum team.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent years of experience.
  • Professional Experience: A minimum of 6 years in the IT industry, including 4 years of experience testing SaaS/web-based applications.
  • Manual Testing Proficiency: Deep knowledge and experience in manual testing techniques, including test coverage techniques.
  • Automation Expertise: Practical experience with automation frameworks and tools, able to create and enhance automation scripts.
  • GenAI Expertise: Experience creating prompts for various tasks to interact effectively with generative AI models, ensuring high-quality, relevant, and contextually accurate outputs. Experience with prompt engineering best practices and standards, including prompt quality, prompt testing, prompt documentation, and prompt optimization.
  • API & Database Testing: Strong skills in API and database testing, including testing procedures, triggers, and logical structures.
  • Data & Back-End Testing: Experience in large data set creation, back-end testing (SQL), and validating information flow.
  • Test Case Design Skills: Familiarity with techniques like boundary analysis, decision tables, and Test-Driven Development.
  • Tool Utilization: Proficiency with Jira, Xray, and other test management tools.
  • Programming Language Fluency: Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, and other programming languages.

Additional Skills:

  • Familiarity with GitHub and Azure DevOps
  • Exposure to document management systems or other legal-industry applications
  • Experience application performance and monitoring logs
  • Ability to effectively work with multi-national and cultural teams
  • English as your native language

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Rhode Island, or Washington residents is $85,000 to $100,000. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, Litera offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
