Texas Instruments is a Sr. seeking a full-stack software development engineer who is experienced with AI code generation platforms and tools. This role is critical to accelerating our digital transformation through rapid development of quality and test solutions using cutting-edge development techniques. The position offers the opportunity to revolutionize how our Smart Manufacturing and Automation team builds software while establishing best practices and scaling development capabilities across the organization.
The ideal candidate is someone who is not just a software engineer, but is also experienced with leveraging platforms like Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor and emerging agentic frameworks to dramatically accelerate development while maintaining high quality standards. You'll be building solutions that directly impact manufacturing quality and test operations while helping transform how our entire team approaches software development.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect end-to-end solutions — design and implement scalable backend systems and modern UI/UX workflows that serve real-time manufacturing needs; drive decisions on technology choices, system design patterns, and performance optimization
- Build and sustain full-stack web applications that support manufacturing and engineering teams
- Work with project managers and internal customers to define requirements and develop solutions that meet manufacturing needs
- Rapidly develop and deploy applications, scripts, and automation solutions using AI code generation platforms (Claude, Copilot, Cursor, etc.)
- Lead AI-assisted development — leverage generative AI coding tools and LLM APIs to accelerate development velocity; mentor the team on effective AI integration while maintaining code quality and security
- Own the full stack — take end-to-end ownership of critical services, databases, APIs, and frontends; balance technical excellence with pragmatic delivery
- Drive technical standards — establish best practices for architecture, code quality, testing, and system design; conduct design reviews and mentor engineers on technical growth
- Translate domain requirements — partner with product, operations, and manufacturing stakeholders to deeply understand their challenges and architect elegant technical solutions
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Graphics Technology, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field of study
- 5+ years of full-stack software development — proven experience architecting end-to-end solutions across frontend and backend with measurable impact
Preferred Requirements
- Smart Manufacturing— prior work with IoT, manufacturing execution systems (MES), or connected factory environments
- Advanced AI/ML capabilities — experience building with LLMs or generative AI APIs; familiar with prompt engineering and AI workflow optimization
- Cloud architecture & DevOps — hands-on experience with containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code
- Real-time systems & visualization — experience building dashboards, real-time monitoring systems, or data visualization platforms for operational decision-making
- Technical leadership — proven ability to mentor engineers, lead architectural discussions, and drive engineering standards across teams
- Strong modern frontend expertise — advanced proficiency in React, Vue, or Angular with ability to design and optimize complex UI/UX workflows for manufacturing environments
- Backend architecture experience — demonstrated ability to design scalable, maintainable backend systems using languages like Python, Java, Go, or Node.js
- Software design & architecture skills — solid understanding of design patterns, system design, API design, and ability to make sound architectural trade-offs
- Manufacturing/Industrial domain knowledge — familiarity with manufacturing workflows, real-time monitoring, data-driven processes, or similar operational tech domains
- AI/ML tool integration — hands-on experience integrating AI-assisted coding tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT) into development workflows, or building with AI APIs
- Database & data modeling — proficiency with relational and NoSQL databases; ability to design efficient data models for analytics and real-time systems
