Location: Austin
Preparation of monthly financial statements and supplemental account analysis GSD M's financial reports, including preparation of account analysis, journal entries, projections and re-forecasts.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related degree.
- Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience (advertising services industry experience a plus).
- Public accounting experience a plus.
- Hyperion, Smartview, Dynamics or related financial systems preferred.
- Strong balance sheet, PL and GAAP accounting understanding.
- Preparation of monthly financial statements and supplemental general ledger account analysis (both directly and through the supervision of others).
- Records financial reforecasts on a monthly basis into HFM (Hyperion Financial Management) to parent company (Omnicom).
- Prepares a variety of supplemental financial reports to Omnicom upon their request, including on a quarterly and yearly basis.
- Preparation or review of journal entries (e.g., payroll, prepaid expenses, depreciation expenses, intercompany and accruals).
- Back up support to semi-monthly payroll related submissions.
- Reviews general ledger account analysis by other Accounting Staff for accuracy, completion, and supporting documentation.
- Assists in coordination of audit and preparation of schedules and documents for independent auditors.
- Assists in the coordination of client audits and preparation of schedules and documents for client auditors.
- Reviews and approves agency A/P entry work-files for proper account coding.
- Review and approved bi-monthly ADP payroll for accuracy.
- Tracking of other operating expense schedules (e.g. credit card authorization and statements, purchase orders, capital and operating leases).
- Preparation of tax related support schedules.
- Back-up support for Sarbanes Oxley quarterly testing.
- Back-up support for other financial related functions
- Other ad-hoc projects or on-going financial support.
- Proficient with Excel and computerized accounting systems.
- Should be adaptable to a fast-paced environment.
- Skilled at prioritizing work and coordinating tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees.
- Strong written verbal communication skills.
- Ability to delegate, direct and manage an accounting staff.
