Review the payments request received from the various teams to ensure that these are in accordance with company policies and have the appropriate approvals.
Accounting of the payment requests and withhold taxes in accordance with the statutory provisions.
Preparation of vendor payment advices after receiving the appropriate approvals.
Communication of payment details to vendors and providing clarifications.
Reconciliation of vendor accounts and aging statements.
Processing vendor payments in foreign currency and preparation of the necessary documentation in accordance with the requirements of the Foreign Exchange Management Act 2000.
Accounting for inward remittance towards accounts receivable.
Responsible for review of cash transactions and physical verification of cash.
Preparation of weekly/fortnightly fund positions and flagging of the request for fund transfers.
Ensure that all service level agreements (SLAs) with internal clients are met on time.
Responsible for vendor wise provisioning for monthly closure of accounts.
Preparation of audit schedules and participating in the audit of accounts.
Preparation of Monthly Dashboards for Business Support.
Monitor the regulatory changes in India and keep the appropriate function updated of the potential impact and actions which they need to take-up and assess the situation
Support initiatives within Target India in implementation of key vendor payable related regulatory changes and updation of process documents
Lead process improvement ideas in driving efficiency, strengthening controls and improving quality
REPORTING/WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
The Sr Financial Analyst Accounting – Accounts Payable will report to Senior Manager FAR – Vendor Payables.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
College degree in accounting with 4-6 years’ experience. Good knowledge of Accounting and Accounts Payable function in a global environment. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Good interpersonal skills Strong communication skills Working knowledge of ERP preferably SAP Knowledge of relevant Indirect taxes like VAT; Service Tax; TDS; Customs; FEMA , GST etc. Qualifications like Chartered Accountants; Company Secretary; Cost Accountant or other financial qualifications will be an advantage.
Skills Required
- College degree in accounting
- 4-6 years of accounting/accounts payable experience
- Good knowledge of Accounting and Accounts Payable in a global environment
- Working knowledge of ERP (preferably SAP)
- Knowledge of Indian indirect taxes and regulations (VAT, Service Tax, TDS, Customs, FEMA, GST)
- Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
- Qualifications like Chartered Accountant, Company Secretary, or Cost Accountant
