WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

The Global Brand Design, Brand Initiatives team, part of Nike’s Brand Creative Organization, delivers world-class creative executions and rich storytelling against all future & early incubation brands (i.e., Skims, Lego, ACG & Olympics).

In this role, you will partner with Sr. Creative Directors, Designers, Brand Marketing Directors, Brand Creative Leadership, Narrative Leads, Retail Design, Digital Design, Production and Operations teams, as well as external agencies.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The Sr. Expert, Global Brand Art Direction & Design, partners with a multidisciplinary design team responsible for the look and feel of seasonal campaigns, across design, art direction and motion, including strategic intent, ideation and execution. This role is responsible for setting the look and feel of new brand concepts in partnership with the Sr. Creative Director.

  • Deep passion and knowledge of global sport and athletes first and foremost. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Design or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education and experience, and training.
  • At least 10 years professional experience in design and art direction, within product or marketing, brand or agency.
  • Creative leadership – works with Sr. Creative Directors to inspire and guide multidisciplinary design teams through ambiguity and complexity.
  • Mastery of art direction & design knowledge – deliver outstanding photography, graphic design, video content, experiences and digital design in service of sport category, on time and within budget.
  • Strategic communication – effectively applies visual skills to communicate complex ideas, aligning stakeholders with clarity and influence.
  • Collaboration & influence – builds trust across cross-functional teams and external partners (photographers, filmmakers, illustrators, designers).
  • Entrepreneurial Drive – proactively identifies opportunities and drives innovation.
  • Talent magnetism – helps attract, mentor, and retain top creative talent.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

  • Team culture, leadership & growth development – you must have the ability to mentor, with a knack and passion for helping everyone on the team to grow, improve, succeed, and advance toward collective and individual goals.
  • Elevating the craft & storytelling – you will be responsible for consistent level of deliverables across Art & Design, constantly elevating Nike’s Design and Art Direction output.
  • Support studios with hands-on creative work – you will encourage and lead innovative thinking, collaboration, and execution on the day to day of the projects as well as represent creative in reviews with leadership.
  • Provide inspiration for the discipline – you will push sport imaging, sport graphic design & sport motion into the future with regular trend reports. You will need to stay ahead of emerging trends, helping set what’s next.
  • Cross-functional collaboration – you will be responsible for elevating the Art Direction across all brand touch points: Retail, Digital, Media, E-commerce, Brand Voice, Styling and geo executions.
  • Industry & sport culture connectivity – you will demonstrate an active interest and connection with the creative industry through event attendance, talent scouting and trend leadership.
