The Role

In this role, you will collaborate closely with the German Kyndryl Vital leader on local CX & EX services. As the design strategist and leader during customer engagements, you’ll guide teams to deliver top-notch solutions. Working alongside Consult Partners, business leaders, and account managers, you will zero in on key projects to enhance customer experiences. 

Your role will include defining problems, crafting innovative solutions, and creating service blueprints while ensuring their effective implementation. Drawing insights from a range of industries, you will make data-driven decisions that elevate project outcomes. Furthermore, you'll connect with global Kyndryl Vital teams to share case studies and best practices, contributing to Kyndryl's worldwide professional design community. 

As a Senior Experience Strategist, you will be responsible for: 

  • Collaborating with the German Kyndryl Vital leader to align local CX & EX service offerings. 

  • Guiding multi-disciplined teams through customer engagements as the design strategist and leader, providing insights, ideas, and leadership to deliver high-quality solutions. 

  • Identifying high-potential customer projects and continuously seeking ways to add value to the customer experience. 

  • Partnering with Kyndryl business and account leaders, technical strategists, customers, and alliance partners to define problems, imagine solutions, and create service blueprints. 

  • Contributing case studies, best practices, and learnings to the global practice while staying connected to the global professional design community and Kyndryl design leadership. 

This role requires at least 20% travel to customer on-site locations.

Required Skills and Experience:  

  • 7+ years of experience in applying human-centered design, with a focus on design strategy, service design, and co-creation 

  • Highly experienced and confident in facilitating design processes and customer workshops in projects, ensuring the entire team is onboarded  

  • Background in qualitative/quantitative user research, both generative and evaluative  

  • Experience in designing customer and employee experiences  

  • Entrepreneurial mindset, thriving in ambiguity and enjoying “first-of-a-kind” challenges  

  • Systems-thinking problem solver with business acumen to work with customers, define key objectives, and create high-level business cases. Integrates insights from business, people, and technology into innovative solutions  

  • Leadership in guiding multi-disciplinary teams through service design and blueprinting, resulting in experience-based roadmaps for deeper technological solutions. Excellent collaboration and communication skills with customers and internal stakeholders  

  • Flexible toolkit for designing co-creation journeys, adept at creating new tools as needed. Attention to detail in stakeholder language and relationship dynamics  

  • Interest or experience in the ITT/service industry. Strong presentation skills in pre-sales environments  

  • Fluent in both German and English, verbally and written.  

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant or other field. 

  • Portfolio demonstrating craft, strategic thinking, leadership, customer engagement, and inventive solutions in various contexts 

Preferred Skills and Experience:  

  • Experience in defining a service portfolio  

  • Master’s degree in relevant or other field. 

  • Industry vertical experience  

  • Experience in both enterprise and agency settings  

  • Participatory design and research  

  • Knowledge and experience in IT infrastructure or other technical applications  

  • Human behavior, change management, or other applied social sciences  

  • Experience in data science, AI/ML, algorithm design  

  • Experience in DesignOps or otherwise experienced in design-specific processes and capabilities
