Job Description: Executive – Procurement
Position Overview
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement Executive to support our solar energy projects. The role involves sourcing, negotiating, and managing suppliers to ensure timely procurement of quality materials and services essential for solar installations.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate vendors for solar modules, inverters, BOS (Balance of System) components, and other project materials
- Prepare purchase orders, negotiate contracts, and ensure cost-effective procurement aligned with project budgets
- Coordinate with project, engineering, and finance teams to forecast material requirements
- Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, and quality compliance
- Maintain accurate procurement records, vendor databases, and price lists
- Ensure compliance with statutory and company procurement policies
- Support logistics and inventory management for solar project sites
- Assist in vendor audits and contribute to supplier relationship management
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Commerce, or Supply Chain Management (MBA in Operations/SCM preferred)
- 2–4 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the solar/renewable energy sector
- Strong knowledge of solar components, EPC procurement processes, and vendor ecosystems
- Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and procurement software
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Preferred Attributes
- Experience in handling procurement for solar EPC projects or renewable energy companies
- Knowledge of import/export documentation and logistics for solar equipment
- Process-driven mindset with attention to detail and cost optimization
