Job Description

• This position is seeking an enthusiastic and innovation talent for Lumentum transmission BU R&D team in San Jose.
• The position will work closely with product development teams and manufacturing teams in San Jose, Shenzhen and in Tailand, to define detail development schedules and resource plans.
• Drive cross-functional planning and development, ensuring that program tasks complete on-time, and managing to resource, scope and quality constraints
• The Program Manager will occupy a high visibility position with customer, suppliers and internal technical, operations and administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead program team through program review milestones, with responsibility for ensuring all deliverables are completed on-time from concept to mass production.
• Contribute to long-terms plans for new product development and production life-cycle decisions, for parts already in production.
• Define a product cost roadmap working together with engineering, commercial and supply chain and lead the team to meet the business goal.
• Working with manufacturing and Product engineering team in the US, China, Thailand, etc. on development programs and transfer into manufacturing.
• Identify and manage cross-team technology dependencies and align teams on roadmaps to ensure timely delivery of initiatives.
• Provide transparency and communication to key stakeholders about program status, risks, and changes in plans.
• Proactively identify and remove blockers for the product and engineering teams, and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Facilitate discussions, decision making, and conflict resolution.
• Work closely with Operations to track engineering sample builds and shipment during new product introduction phase.

Required Qualifications

• At least 8 years of experience in program management of optical product new product introduction.
• Proven experience of managing optical subassembly and module product development
• Strong leadership and communication skills for cross-functional environment (manufacturing, test, quality, finance, supply chain).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for engineering and product teams, as well as for business and executive teams in English
• Strength in project/program planning, organization, and time management
• Experienced in taking development programs from concept to manufacturing.
• Experience to define/drive a product cost roadmap to meet business needs.

Pay Range:

P70-USA-1 :$124,600.00 - $178,000.00
