As a Senior Engineering Manager here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will play a critical role in bridging advanced technology and product execution – driving technology transfer, enabling new product introductions, and advancing digital engineering transformations.
You will report directly to our Engineering Director and you’ll work out of our Plymouth, MN or Minneapolis, MN locations on a Hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will impact the success of our Advanced Projects and Commercial Navigation organizations. Duties will include leading advanced projects that translate emerging technologies into fielded products, driving disciplined technology transfer from our Advanced Technology organization into new product introductions. Owning cross-functional execution of technology initiatives and digital engineering transformations that accelerate development, improve design fidelity, and reduce risk from concept through delivery. The role requires a leader who can drive organizational change, influence engineering culture, and translate digital engineering strategy into measurable improvements in execution, quality, and program outcomes.

YOU MUST HAVE
- Proven engineering leadership experience.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Broad, cross-disciplinary technical background, including experience with systems, software, and hardware R&D teams.
- Product development and execution experience across multiple phases of a product life cycle.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field from an accredited institution.
WE VALUE
- Aerospace, avionics, or navigation systems experience, including safety critical products and familiarity with certification and compliance expectations.
- Demonstrated experience leading or scaling Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Digital Engineering, or similar engineering transformation initiatives within a complex technical organization.
- Experience generating, protecting, or commercializing intellectual property, including patents, invention disclosures, or early-stage technology incubation.
- Exposure to sensor technologies, including optics, MEMS, or laser-based systems, particularly where precision, reliability, and system integration are critical.
- Robotics or related experience with strong system integration skills across hardware, software, sensors, and controls.
- Executive-Level communication experience.
- Advanced technical education such as a Master’s degree or PhD in engineering or a related technical discipline
PAY and BENEFITS
The annual base salary range for this position is <$168,000- $210,000>. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
